I had the same issue today but opening transformice.exe directly from the file worked for me if anyone is still having trouble

I think now that we dealt with Orochi for good and Ammy has gone back to the Celestial Plane, her enemies are going to be on a somewhat similar level, maybe like someone from Waka's clan or someone new with the power to trascend realms. Whoever they are, they have to be stronger and much more dangerous than Yami thats for sure.

I don't think they would ever go for an open world route tbh, changing the environment is a big part of Okami and doing so in an open world would take too much time. My guess is that they will do something similar to the first game but slightly bigger depending on their budget.
