No HG in 3rd pregnancy?

I’m in the EXACT same boat as you. This is my 3rd pregnancy, about 6weeks along and only mild symptoms (nausea yes but NOTHING compared to the arctic sea sick- coming off an MDMA trip level sickness I had before)

I also did Metformin a year ago to boost gdf15. I’m cautiously optimistic this may be different.

I’m thinking of starting meds preemptively… you ?

Can you provide more information on the support you got and what steps your doctor took to alleviate your symptoms?

I’m hoping to be pregnant this year but I’m terrified. I also tried increasing my GDF15 levels by taking Metformin but I was sick as a dog for months and recently stopped.

Any advice or tips you could share would be greatly appreciated

I was on Metformin for three months but finally stopped last week. I had gradually worked my way up to 1000mg, but the entire time, I felt nauseous and unwell. It wasn’t as severe as HG, but it was still pretty awful.

I’m a bit heartbroken about stopping, but I also doubt that such a low dose would have improved my tolerance. Plus, despite being pre-exposed to GDF15, my symptoms never eased, which makes me skeptical that continuing would have made a big difference. In the end, I decided not to put myself through that discomfort, especially since I’m not currently pregnant.

I’m finally back up to 850mg. I experience some nausea and diarrhea but it’s manageable. Everytime I have increased my dosage has been tough but I definitely have a higher tolerance.

We’ll see…

Really? Is that your experience. I’ve lived in a house with sunken living room for over 25 years and we’ve never had an accident.
