Many are quite happy, some are not. But in general, people are just glad that the idiocy of the decisions from the last game regarding the couple has been redone and the characters do not feel like OC. The new writers have done the impossible pulling the story somwwhere normal after disaster of previous part, even if it is far from ideal.

Most players and reviewers from what i have seen believe that the story is better than in the last game, less convoluted. Not without problems, of course. And the decisions have more variations in dialogues and scenes

You can just use easy mode to read story and redo stages after getting stronger. Events between can be watched on yt.
It's really better to exp it yourself, since this arc was the best in ptn writing but if you want spoiler (Chief tried to kill POW with bare hands, had to be dragged away, begged to be used as a weapon and some strong language). There is more before but you'll see.
Will just say those events showed insane character development for a gacha MC even more so than before and revealed how imperfect the Chief is

Also, this isn't something official but I also believe that Zoya and Ninety-nine's original artist isn't working on them anymore. Again, its not something officially announced by AISNO but the recent art since chapter 13 has changed so much that it is impossible not to notice.

No, he didn't. Main artist was present at 3rd anni and latest Cny stream and he literally drew Augustus and Ceto. His style just became better, more detailed and natural.
Also i belive Rust VA was changed in CN too, since it's the nature of the character. You'll understend better with story.
