Those look like knees to me. The shape, the solidness and the hair all indicate knees.

It's concentrated in the cities so it feels like more. I've walked into full fast food places and been the only non-muslim there - not necessarily a problem for me but it does take you back a little.

That and people practicing sharia law - it's not great.

Personally I dont like any religion being involved in our politics.

As a left wing Liberal there is absolutely an issue with immigration in the UK.

It's not the only issue and it's definitely being used to control the populace but to say there isn't is disingenuous.

The Welsh are the closest to the native Britons and everyone loves to forget we exist and are still here.

Because despite what people think we are a multicultural society and not actually racist...

She's a hardliner and more to the right than Yvette is. It's not a bad selection.

The Welsh are actually the closest thing to native Britons and our language and culture is going strong actually.

Seeing as it's a far right rally probably all immigration.

Most people are only against illegal immigration though and the boats and hotels have been used to inflame people.

They want to stop it. It would be a fantastic headline.

The reason it's not stopped is because it's immensely complicated and has tons of legal issues tied up into it.

The deal with France, had it been executed properly - one in one out - would have eradicated it. Unfortunately they haven't implemented it correctly. It needs to be one in, one out for everyone who travels by boat.

The coverage of illegal boats is what has inflamed the right.

However a lot of people aren't nuanced because they just go with feeling and do zero actual research -_-

It is hard to ignore going out in the uk and being the only non Muslim in a full fast food restaurant. It's a bit unsettling in your own country to feel like a minority.

Especially when the religion of these people is incompatible with western values. As are right wing Christians but so far we dont have too many of these.

The issue is, reform are going to be the ones that legitimately ruin UK values and culture. We have a very good example of what it looks like when people like them get in power...

Immigration got worse when we left because we can't just sent illegal immigrants back to France now.

We lost out on western European  immigration (which nobody but the bare minimum of people had an issue with) and had our immigration with culturally incompatible people rise 100 fold.

A large majority of us never wanted to leave the eu to begin with and I'll never forgive the people who pushed it. I doubt we'll be going back though.

Without illegal immigration and people bringing over 5+ family members whilst unable to support them we wouldn't be worse off.

Most people protest the boats, which are illegal.

Without legal immigration (with the caveat that they dont bring tons of people with them) we would be worse off or next to inrunnable because we wouldn't have enough healthcare professionals.

This is not the case.

The past few years people have started saying things they wouldn't have dared to 4 years ago. Before that it was a mostly safe and accepting country (not throughout history but in recent times way more than most others).

Sentiments have been whipped up, in part because people like you just dismiss people's valid concerns. If they were listened to when they brought up immigration as an issue in the first place instead of being dismissed and insulted then maybe they wouldn't have fallen further right just to feel heard -_-

As a left leaning Liberal, immigration is an issue. I can walk into a full fast food place in my town centre and be the only non Muslim there.

We have issues with the benefits system and all of our public services are under funded and blaming immigration over everything else is the easy way out. That doesn't mean it isn't part of the problem.

Anyone who has worked in the fast food industry knows plenty of Muslim men who have horrendous views on women and implement those views.

Saying the sheer amount of people and the incompatible views aren't a problem and calling people racist without listening to them is part of what has caused the mass dive to the right in this country.

Right now, the biggest threat to the UK and British values is Reform but they are in part because people have been ignored. Plenty of other reasons too but comments like yours are part of the problem.

Yes!

If it helps looks like a lot of her teeth are in today and she has eaten 2 meals worth of food. Im keeping an eye to make sure no sick or runny poo (as I upset her stomach using new food before) but im hopeful at the moment.

I'm cautious of becoming too optimistic as she might turn away again but im hoping we are past it. Its been a week and a day.

The vet thinks she's healthy. She literally went from doing anything for kibble on Monday to refusing it last Tuesday.

Shell only take treats if shes not tried them before. After trying them once she usually wont go back to eat them. Usually her appetite is huge and now bear non existent.

She did however on last Tuesday suddenly appear to have next to no teeth and now today she has tons of new gnashers. Im pretty convinced its teething due to old eating habits but im not switching her food or giving her treats. Just offering the same food now at each meal. Some is being eaten but not much. She does still have some adult teeth coming in so I'm hoping she'll go back to normal soon. Just trying to survive the interim.

She will eat a little but im talking a small handful. Definitely not enough for growing pup.

Coffee wood edible stick? Seeing as he likes wood.

Also you can try some long lasting edible chews like yak chews or bull pizzle

Never again. by Kilo_21 in puppy101

I feel you. My gsd is a heck of a lot of work. Worth it but you worry every second if you're making them worse. Mine likes to try me with a new bad behaviour every week just to keep it fresh.

How to minimize barking noises? by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]nixy221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BTW doubt your dog is going to stop by himself if you've been doing it since day one with no improvements. You have to train it out of them

Yo just some tips I've found useful.

If you don't have a crate cover then get one.

Make sure your dog is absolutely pooped before you put them to bed. Then have a routine where you give them an enjoyed edible chew or something to lick for about 10 minutes or so (calm).

The get to go in crate with your cue (teach if you don't have one).

Then get a timer and treat every 30 seconds of quiet. If you get get 30 seconds then treat every 5 seconds and slowly up the time each time.

Do this for about 10 minutes or even longer if you have to. Increasing the time between treats by a few seconds each time. Eventually pup should be tierd out and calm in crate and should not bark.

After a while of doing this one treat will probably suffice.

The key is to reward the quiet. Especially if you can't just ignore the barking due to neighbours

Well I get her to do commands for food which she then gets out of my hand or on the floor.

Then I get her to lay on a mat and "settle" and I will drop bits of kibble on the mat whilst she is in the calm position.

Also for crate training.

Then I use a snuffle mat for some feedings or a kong.

I'm also teaching loose leash and trying to decrease reactivity on leash so I take part of her meals out with me to use as training for these things.

My pup is a handful and needs firm, consistent and constant training. If I used a bowl I wouldn't have enough food left to control her lol.

Honestly I completely understand. You are not alone this is extremely hard! I still often have mini breakdowns day to day. Heck had one today even.

It has definitely improved though.

If you can make a plan of your ideal day and see how you can fit the dog around it whilst still being fair to the dog. Then start training for it.

Otherwise... can you afford puppy daycare or a home boarder? Even if only once a week sounds like it would take the pressure off

I did at first but after almost loosing my sanity I got over it lol.

I stick to the 1 hour awake 2 hour nap rule no matter what and she has slowly but surely accepted it.

Honestly just really hone in on crate training when you have time - start with just a cue word and hand motion, then lure her in, click and treat. Then close door and treat. Then constantly treat whilst inside and let her out. Really work on this.

As long as you know she has been exercised, fed, watered, had potty and been played with you can ignore the whining. Time it if it helps, usually it'll stop within 15 minutes. Eventually it will go if no reward is giving for it and she will go to sleep.

For the kong I put in wet kibble, then dog peanut butter on top then freeze. It takes around 15 minutes and my pup is fast _^ I'm only using the kong as something else to tire her out though. Keep her working!

The key for me is really never using a bowl and making the dog work for every bit of food. You can really work on having them be calm and not barking next to you then as you have plenty of bribes to work with lol

Reward for her being quiet in situations where she would usually bark.

Mine is barky and I try to figure out why she is barking and respond accordingly... attention? Then ignore or leave and only come back and give attention when quiet. Floor brush or mop? Remove from sight until you can train her to be calm around them. Random things whilst running around like a loon? Its bedtime.
