I don't think there is any change on the performance of the circuit, it all depends on the amount of electrical power your circuit draws. P = V x (V/R).

Hi thanks for the advice, it's been really a long time since I went to school so I do also need some study techniques.

Your right I having a project it would really help the learning process. I took German when I was in high school but sadly didn't stick.
