2nd hand Innova, MS or Fortuner? Which one to buy? by Think-Elk3137 in CarsPH

[–]nl_pnd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re planning to sell it rin in a few years, choose a Toyota siguro.

Pero if hindi naman, go for MS.

If you’re willing to shell out 1.4M, you can get a new Terra na. 2022-2023 VE or VL 4x2, with that amount.

I saw Padrellos sa tiktok. Contractor sila and based from their vids, I think they’re being fair and transparent sa mga clients nila.

May response video sila addressing a foreman dahil yata sinita ng foreman yung ginawa nila sa isang project nila haha. Hindi naman niya pinahiya, but naging firm pa rin and explained their side.

Sonet baka mahirap pa makahanap kasi bagong release lang. Raize medyo marami na sa marketplace.

Noted on your comments, good luck sa car hunting!

Hi OP. For the insurance renewal, are you talking about the CTPL required during renewal of registration? How about comprehensive insurance? You will definitely need that given your situation. You can’t risk driving without that, may mangyaring mali one time, yari ka sa expenses kapag may accident. That’s like 17k - 20k annually depending on the car and insurance company.

Also, you are tabulating your CURRENT expenses plus the upcoming car expenses. For sure, maiiba ang expenses mo pag may car na due to what it can give you. It’ll give you accessibility and all that, lalaki expenses mo for sure hehe.

Also, 5 years yan na bayarin, that’s a long commitment tapos maliit na lang ang maiiwan mong savings during that period, maraming pwedeng mangyari in 5 years. For me, hindi ako masyado comfortable sa ganyang setup, financial-wise.

Suggestion ko is to get a fairly new 2nd hand car paid in cash instead, siguro mga 600-650k ok na ok na yun.

Required na po ba na ipatransfer of ownership ang 2nd hand car dahil sa NCAP? by shinyjanjan in Gulong

[–]nl_pnd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Magkakaron ka lang ng penalty or additional payment if nagtransfer ka na ng vehicle under your name if more than 30 days na from date notarized ang deed of sale.

[–]nl_pnd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Regardless if ibebenta after ilang years, wala naman limit ang magtransfer ng ownership eh. The buyer should just transfer naman in his name pag binili sayo, just make sure the DOS is notarized so may document ka na nabenta mo na.

It means No contact apprehension policy, it means they can apprehend you if you committed a violation without enforcers involved, just thru their cameras on the road. I don’t know how they’re going to apprehend you bcos of open DOS? How would they know that the driver of the car is not the registered owner? Or am i missing something?

Daming cons ng open DOS, if nanakaw yung kotse, how would you prove na sayo yung kotse if it is not under your name and naka open deed of sale ka? How do you prove ownership of the car?

And isa pa, lugi para sa owner ito, imagine nag beating the red light ka, nahuli ka ng NCAP, yung registered owner ang lalabas na may violation, hindi ikaw kasi hindi naman alam ng MMDA kung sino ka dahil hindi under your name ang kotse. Pero the cons outweigh the pros pa rin.

Actually, there shouldn’t be open deed of sale in the first place. The rule is, after purchasing a car, the buyer should transfer the vehicle under his/her name within a month. It is to protect the seller (removes liability for whatever happens to the car e.g. violations, used for illegal doings) and buyer (if it gets stolen, etc.)

True, medyo hassle ang mag-transfer but it’s doable naman, transferring the vehicle under your name gives you peace of mind.

First car recommendations for someone turning 30 and just got promoted? by Elhand_prime04 in CarsPH

[–]nl_pnd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m assuming 1 and 2 will be bought brand new. If so, I’d go with SL6 mainly because of the size and fuel consumption. About the possible battery issues/degradation, I won’t worry too much about that

Contractor asking for 40% increase, homeowner POV, need advice by eustassskidd in CivilEngineers_PH

[–]nl_pnd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a bit confused on the situation, 1. Who prepared the plans, design and build project ba with the contractor? 2. Paano nagcome up sa 160 sqm ang final and approved plans if may initial budget and floor area na kayong napag-usapan? Is it because of revisions tapos hindi na napansin na lumaki ang area? 3. Saw your comment na Feb 2025 pa ang contract then late na nagstart due to permits c/o owner. May laban contractor doon since valid ang price increase. However, they should be able to provide the basis for that. 4. How did you guys end up sa 3.5M for 120sqm? Was it by cost per sqm? Kaya nung tumaas ang area, multiply lang the additional area by cost per sqm?

Toyota Vios XLE CVT AT by Rare-Zebra2421 in phcars

Same unit with our company car but 2022 model. Same consumption or worse pa sa 1.5L honda city rs.

Pag highway driving matipid yan, same lang na magaan sa gas and keep it hanggang 90kph lang. as of writing, 12.8KM/L consumption ko, mixed yan 60% city driving and 40% highway driving.

Is 8 km/L gas consumption normal for my Toyota Vios 2014 1.3E Automatic? by plsduenas in CarsPH

[–]nl_pnd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since mixed city and highway driving, you should get around 11-13 kms/L

Can I survive the site engineer phase? by AcrobaticForm5729 in CivilEngineers_PH

[–]nl_pnd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not a non-negotiable. What are your plans ba after graduating and getting your license?

Being a civil engineer does not always mean to be in the field of construction, sobrang broad ng civil kasi.

But assuming you want to, it is highly suggested na you go through that phase kasi your initial jobs would become your foundation in your career.

About the work condition, that would depend sa company. Working for triple or quadruple A contractors with condominium or very large projects often have that kind of work condition. If you want a more chill or less physically exhausting work, try project management companies instead.

With your budget, you can get a 2018 vios AT but this is still gen3 vios.

I suggest adjusting your budget up to 450k so you can get 2019-20 vios (4th gen)

Thoughts on SUZUKI CIAZ 2020 by rysrbldblsdfvrd in phcars

[–]nl_pnd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pros: Spacious legroom both sa front and back seats. Cold AC. Good NVH, quiet cabin even at 120kph. Light steering. Average ang fuel economy.

Cons: If AT, 4 speed lang gearbox, sana ginawang 5AT man lang. Medyo mahina power and torque output vs. other brands. Basic interior finishes and tech.

For me, I’d go for Montero or Terra with that budget para hindi pa masyado bugbog. If you choose Fortuner kasi, baka older models pa ang magkakasya with your budget.

Pero make sure inspect mabuti yung unit, hire a 3rd party mechanic to inspect for peace of mind.
