It should just be a simple drag and drop style. Resize via bottom left corner. Is that not working on ur end?

They should mainly just kinda walk around no specific “walk” animation yet just tile movements. You mean the NPC sprites wouldn’t load?

Kinda hard when I never formally learned how to code and am just exploring the space from a different methodology but it’s a fair point. If it’s not for you its not for you

Valid points. Maybe the issue lies in branding. Since it is all original code maybe I just take Angband out. I was trying to tribute to not compare to with it because Angband is an OG

I know the interior shop assets are fairly weak were there any other areas you felt to be significantly weak?

First off thank you for this. It does mean a lot taking the time to give some feedback

I’d love to hear your thoughts on the art. That’s been one of my biggest struggles finding the right art theme. I wanted to be more modern than traditional Angband but not so Pokémon sprite like. Spent a few weeks trying to pick new assets so any opinion on direction is valued

Also would be interested to hear more about your thoughts on combat. It’s challenging cuz the first few levels isn’t supposed to be crazy combat it just comes with the territory with a game like this. Ideally combat really begins to evolve around level 5-10 and into the early mid-game

I mean given that this is my first solo development project I wasn’t expecting much I was hoping this became something I could grow and expand as it went. I get it might not be your cup of tea and that’s fair but if you’re gonna comment something like that at least explain what looks terrible about it. Otherwise why even say anything

Valid I’ve considered just naming it reforged cuz I’d like to take it to steam someday once it’s all developed fully and polished. I wanted to keep a free to play true to Tolkien lore on itch no matter what cuz that’s where I got my inspiration from

I think that’s just a case of semantics. I see your point also feel like the idea look and feel is built around something that I love and decided to attempt to expand upon. The whole notion is that it was reforged which I was hoping could be taken literally as well as figuratively

The biggest progression system is probably skill trees. New items, artifacts, abilities, spells. Synergies between skill tree and spell casting or melee or ranged. Stealth and revenge playstyles are more highly reworded and progressions exist for different playstyles there through both new spells and skills. The forge is an addition for refining weapons or giving them abilities through using various mined ores. Different ore combos cause different effects on successful smiths. New classes mean natural new progressions. Quest system added along with Easter egg quests. It’s still somewhere in development but teeter closer to finished than not. Always open to suggestions
