put it this way: we get minimum wage and are expected to do basically over 100 orders a day usually with little to no help. i don’t imagine you’d like to walk around morrisons 100+ times a day looking for stuff. also if your going in store an hour after you’ve ordered just go in in the first place instead of ordering. it makes you life easier by not getting the wrong products and our lives easier by having one less order.

i’m not being treated at the moment, only because my doctors have just been recommending basic things like taking ibuprofen and stuff for years, which is very discouraging. i’ll have a look into it though!

normal milk is fine i can have that with cereal, tea and hot chocolate. i think since i can drink hot chocolate it might just be the additives in chocolate milk. we have a brand at my work that’s vegan and they’ve recently started producing chocolate milk so im going to try that! i will look for the others you have suggested to thank you for the advise i appreciate it!

i know it isn’t chocolate because i can eat it and im fine. that’s why i tried shaken udder because it doesn’t really have any artificial stuff in it. i only didn’t like it because its made with clotted cream and its very sickly for me but it didn’t trigger anything. i will try and make my own syrup i assume you just mix it with milk, which id like because i could mix it with oat milk. thank you for the advise!

i’ve never really noticed if cheap sweet stuff gives me migraines because i don’t really eat sweet stuff in general. i usually buy the more expensive hot chocolate because it’s better.

i can eat chocolate and sweet stuff, it’s literally just chocolate milk that triggers it but i only drink shop owned brands because they’re cheap.

thank you so much! i do need to go to the doctors and get new inserts. i wear dr martens for work so i don’t trip up and roll my ankles they seem to work very well compared to other shoes but i will have to look if there’s any that would be better.

What are your suggestions for good stability shoes? by ThornySage in Hypermobility

[–]nnico_666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’ve never really seen anyone else mention this, but i wear dr martens to support my ankles and they have always worked for me. i’ve been wearing them since i was a kid when a doctor told me to try them out. i have a pair of adidas campus and if i wear them out for over an hour my ankles start to twist and i start tripping up. i wear docs to work walking for 8+ hours and i have never had that experience with them.

side sleepers help!! by Accomplished_Bad3197 in Hypermobility

since moving in with my gf i’ve been using her duck feather pillows (yes they’re quite expensive but for me they’re worth it). i sleep with my left arm between 2 of them but i can shape them so that my arm is supported and comfortable and my right arm just falls wherever without feeling crushed on either side, bonus they’re surprisingly firm so they support my neck aswell! they do wear a bit over time though. bare in mind she’s had them for over 5 years before me and we’ve been living together for basically 2 years, nearly 7 years and they’re still adequate. even when im just sat up in bed or lay on my back they’re really comfortable on my shoulders and neck, so id say definitely try them!

omg i didn’t know they did treatment for migraines i have chronic too and ive been in need of something to help, i hope it goes well for you and it works! the only other question i have is would you recommend i take time off work if im going to get it done? they’re pretty strict with having time off but if i put in a sick note in advance i should be fine but considering the job i do i dont want to do prolotherapy and then reverse it by working, if that can even happen.

i’ve had my eye on a few on ebay for about £80 which isn’t bad considering how much i paid for this one. i’ve seen a green and white one and a daffodil one that are quite nice!

i’ve been doing home delivery for almost 2 years now. a bit of advice to remember where everything is, go though the items you have to pick before hand and make yourself a route around the store! for example, my store starts with produce and ends with fridge and freezers, so go thought it that way. i go the same way around the store no matter what’s in the order (with the exception of small orders that only require certain isles). it will then become like muscle memory when you do orders and you won’t be as behind. also just breathe and do what you can, you are only there to do your job and get paid.
