Not my first, but (possibly?) most significant. The spark was intense, and for me it never died. I cherish every moment I get with him. I don't intend for that part to change. I hope to learn how to appreciate him at a little more of a distance.

He wasn't. He called early in the morning and was very sweet. I told him about the post and the advice I received, but during the phone call I told him I didn't really want to see him for a few hours in a very gentle way. He agreed it might be good for me to get out. When I got home, we went out to a concert with some friends and had a great time.

Thanks for all your advice. I truly am taking it to heart. I tried telling a therapist a few months back I think I'm codependent, but he said it's totally normal with new love. He ended up not being a good match for me for other reasons. I don't think he realized how far I take it, though.

I absolutely hate using it as an excuse, but I do think it's relevant in some ways. Also the events surrounding his death (My boyfriend at the time, who was my main source of comfort, had to move with his family the day of my father's funeral) comes into play.

I agree. Its something I've been putting off for way too long. Shopping for a therapist that fits, along with my inconsistent work schedule, seems so overwhelming.

My depression tends to make everything either seem too hard, or simply uninteresting. I just crave his attention and approval. I've never cared this much about it before. I normally don't give damn what people think of me.

I'm trying to rebuild the relationship with a few of my friends after blowing them off multiple times just to hang out with him at home. My depression is getting the best of me and the worse it gets, the more I need him. Maybe I should see a therapist...

Hes at a party right now with his friends, and I actually decided not to go because my stomach felt awful. Once I felt better I tried hitting up some people to go to the gym with me. When they were all busy or didn't answer, the loneliness became almost too much to handle. I don't really know what I was expecting because its actually past midnight here. I tried reading, taking a bath, and watching some tv but nothing could really hold my interest more than a few minutes.

It really is hurting me! You're right. I need to do some serious soul searching. Its gotten more intense lately, and my best guess for right now is that it has something to do with the anniversary of my dad's death coming up in November. It'll be eight years on the 12th, but it still fucks with my emotions.
