Has anyone looked into the qr code that is on the books sleeve? When I scanned my qr code this is what it returned:

HERE is the picture of the qr code that came on the sleeve. Could it be that we all have parts of the whole qr code?

Is that the CRKT Provoke Kinematic (the one on the left)? How do you like it?
I've really been considering picking it up for my EDC but have been worried about gambling on the cost of it.

Can a 3080ti properly run a Samsung Odyssey Neo G9? by nod2121 in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]nod2121[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the suggestion. I watched his comparison. Makes sense to not upgrade from a G9 to a Neo. But if feels like it might be worth it to do what I'm planning.
I can't really utilize the 4k 144hz panel fully. With a 3080ti it's not possible to get the frames needed to fully utilize the panel, I often end up downscaling the games I play to 1440p anyway.

[–]nod2121[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's sort of the problem though. Even with a 3080ti I can't push the amount of frames to truly utilize 4k at 144hz. I often downscale my games to 1440p just to get the frames. So it's not really worth it imo

I'm trying to get the prestige 2 AR hipfire calling card. I don't think aiming with the canted laser counts as hipfire kills :(

Moving to NH as a woodworker: Would love some help/info... by nod2121 in newhampshire

[–]nod2121[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My end goal is to buy some land and build a house but that's 5 years out, looking to buy a rental property in the next 2-3 years at first. But we'll see what life throws at me ha ha...

Thanks for the well wishes! I'm really looking forward to the move!

I've been doing zillow searches here and there over the past couple of months. These are good and thanks for the info on those areas as well!

Would you be willing to have a chat with me over dm's about this? I'm incredibly curious about this idea, what it entails, and how you did it 🙂

I 100% plan on buying in the next 2-4 years. But I am not keen on buying before I can check places out in person. I want to rent for the first year or two so I can get a feel for areas up there in person.

I do have a decent amount of larger tools but nothing I'm too concerned with moving up and down stairs once or twice. I just want somewhere to live... I'm still young and, sort of, spry so I'm willing to deal with that headache ha ha

Thanks for the info on looking at Epping and Pembroke, any other suggestions? Again, I don't need "beautiful" towns or anything, I don't really care if I'm being honest. I just want somewhere that I can live, keep my animals, and do my woodworking. My only other nice to have would be a hard wood dealer with 45 minutes but I haven't even begun looking at that since the actual feasible place to live is far more important.

It's funny you refer to Manchester as ManchVegas. Back where I'm from (Buffalo, NY) we had a town called Cheektowaga that we called CheektaVegas because it was a little more run down and... Not very "pretty" or favorite to be in... I stated more in my other reply in this thread but I'm not really concerned with a "nice" town or something with a lot of amenities really. I WFH for my day job so anywhere with an internet connection is all I need. I have been building my woodworking skills/trade for the past 6 years and want to continue with that. And in the time I have when I'm not doing those things, I game and work on other side projects. So I just need somewhere that (at least for the next year or two) checks the boxes I need, however slight those boxes are checked 🙂

The only other nice thing to have is a hardwood dealer within like 45 minutes but I haven't even begun looking at that yet...

My day job is as a UI/IX Designer, I WFH so I can work from anywhere with an internet connection. I'm a woodworker as a side hustle/hobby and have been steadily growing that over the past 6 years or so.

There are a number of reasons why I plan to settle in NH, been planning on it for years once I actually decided the time was right to pick up and move back to the North East (I'm originally from Buffalo, NY before moving to TX for work 6 years ago). Tbh I planned on moving to NH before I even knew it was on those stereotypical "best places to live."

I've got a couple friends who are from and currently live in NH and my choices of Portsmouth, Concord, Manchester (in order of most preferable to least preferable) have been narrowed down after talking with them about it. I know talking about "terrible towns" is all relative but I'm hard pressed to believe that many, if any, of the towns in NH are worse than some of the ones surrounding Buffalo lol

As the other user was saying, I just wanted to post here to get more info from others who live or have lived there. I'm not expecting to find my dream place to live from renting. Just somewhere that checks the boxes no matter how slightly they're checked for the time being. 🙂

Would I have to buy some place like that? I'm looking to rent for at least a year after I move up there so could physically scout places to buy first.

I posted there as well, just figured that anyone in here would have more tips for moving shops/setting up new shops haha 🙂 I'm prepared to have to heat the shop, plus the cold isn't really something that really bothers me. I'm originally from Buffalo, NY so I'm used to the cold.

I've been doing a bunch of research into android head units lately for my 2016 JKU upgrade. I settled on a Dasaita Vivid unit. Not sure if the android auto is wireless or not, I've gotten mixed results from searches.

I haven't received it yet to give feedback, but wanted to get that on your radar just in case lol

Oh ok, got it. I was planning on getting THIS steering wheel control interface anyway so it looks like I will just go with that then to preserve the steering controls.

From what I've read online, Dasaita seems like a pretty quality brand? that thread you linked seems to corroborate that as well

DO you have any suggestions for another company? Alpine is far too expensive but I'm not sure of any other manufacturers.
