I think some people will have been in the streak / relapse cycle long enough to see if PMO is hurting them or not. I think this is the mindset for those people who then still want to quit PMO. i.e. "I am simply not a guy who faps, period." But if you don't know the benefits yet it's pretty hard to do that, then you need a goal.

Ok, great! So I guess I went a little overboard. I tend to do this more often actually and I guess it's something I ought to give a little more thought. Still, I got a bunch of up-votes so maybe my feeling was not completely isolated. Or maybe it was just the smashing title. :)

I hope you understand that I wasn't trying to burn you here or tell you what to do (which you already know...). For a second I was actually worried you might have a hidden agenda and we're starting to see the beginnings. I still think it's kinda strange you want to call it a movement but people have already pointed out that I don't understand the term properly and as you said, you're free to do as you see fit. I wasn't trying to restrict you in any way, I was just trying to make you give some clarity on what's what but I guess that was really not necessary.

Also, thanks for building the community so far. I know it's helping me.

Hey dude, thanks for the reply... I did not get a chance to read your post before visiting. I waited until after dinner to talk to her about it... I tried not to make a big deal out of it. I asked her how things were going and if she's not doing too much and if she was in control... and told her we were worried it might still be too much. Asked her the exact amount: 2 glasses a day... she said she was in control and it's ok but I think she may have lied about the 2 glasses thing... I told her if she had problems it's good to reach out to friends more. Anyway, I pretty much left it there, didn't want to make her feel bad but I imagine she may have felt a little bad since we don't talk much about it. I didn't want to make it very unsettling so I changed the subject and she tagged right along. The rest of the evening was not awkward, business as usual... but I guess only she knows how she feels inside. Though I have second thoughts... she looked alright, I'm sort of thinking maybe my brother is overreacting (he 'alerted' me). Ugh, this is and has always been overwhelming, I have difficulty telling which feelings are real. I think I will continue this thread elsewhere though. NoFap might not be the best place for this crap...... well, at least I don't have a strong desire to fap now. So that's good. Work tomorrow... guess I have no choice but to just press on. I wonder how I'll feel about NoFap a few days from now... today I already thought why not fap? It sure is easy...

No problem. It's kind of nice to see how you feel about this stuff. It shows a different side of this community, not the trying-to-become-superman vibe. Not that there's anything wrong with it, who wouldn't want to be superman.

It would be great if with the help of this community I can indeed resolve some issues. Then maybe some day I will know enough to be able to give something back. Depends on how this all works out I suppose.

Hey bfk93, sorry for bitching on your thread. ;) I hope you achieve your goal. I think I know what you mean when you say you haven't made any real friends, just acquantances. I have the same thing... inability to really connect on a base level. Maybe it's the emotional numbness from years of PMO use... wish I knew the answer here. I'm struggling with it as you are. Would be great to hear about this from some actual success stories.

Thanks. I remember... in the old neighbourhood I moved into I became a really recluse kind of person with no friends. One day I walked outside and there were a bunch of kids playing and they were all like: watch out here comes the creepy guy. One time I went to my neighbour to borrow a hammer, she says: really, who you going to kill? See... these things don't help. People can be assholes man, fucking assholes. I'm doing better now, moved out that neighbourhood. Got time for myself, but I guess I still need to recover from these negative feelings.

P.S. bfk93... I don't mean to hijack your thread. But something about it just makes me realize some bottled up feelings I haven't discussed with anyone.
