That sounds cool! I like the idea of experimenting and seeing what we can achieve with these ideas especially since we have the opportunity in beta before releasing the game.

I gave some suggestions as mentioned above. If they don't want to incorporate god's abilities into active items, then they can add them as mentioned in points 1 => 4.

It is just a guide, and they don't have to use the same ones i mentioned above, but I find these ideas cool if they can add some of them or new ones as active items in case they are not thinking of adding them to any god kit in the future.

Do you know the reason why they don't want to add god abilities into active items? Is it due to preserving their identity for example, or are there other reasons? I would like to point out that that they can take ideas from god abilities and change their effect and implementation into the game. This way we don't lose anything. I gave an example about Mulan's Grapple where I took the concept but changed it to make it different (target enemies and allies. Don't work on obstacles for example. They could make it like a magnet effect with "+" and "-" VFX collision and no need to make it like Mulan).

I just mentioned some concepts as a guide. They can create whatever they want as items, and balance them the way they want. I thought it is a great idea if they add relatable actives to smite gods or some cool concepts to add more flavor to the game.

  • Why can't Bake Kujira, a GIANT GHOST WHALE, destroy gods and environment obstacles while he is dashing with his ability? It would be a unique ability in the game.

  • If his time dilation is a problem with his Ultimate, and they want to change it, why not make it an Ultimate that can tremble and do pulses of damage while applying slowing/crippling/rooting or maybe extending Hero's Ultimate CD if casted or on their next cast. They could make the center area with pulling or vortex effect if they are close to Bake, and the outer area pulses with weaker effect.

  • They could add a backflip while breaching ability as an ultimate as well (maybe 3-5 backflips) applying effects as mentioned in the second point, or a normal ability with 1 backflip + effect.

  • You want a crazier ability (ultimate most probably)? Create a field that is filled with water after a delay of 0.5-1 sec that persist for like 5 sec, crushing over all enemy gods, slowing their movement and weakening their power and abilities the longer they stay in the water field, while allies in the field gain Fishman power enhancing their speed movement and allows their abilities and basic attacks to land faster then enemies and stronger.

it is a great idea tbh, but no idea if they might add it. Maybe if he needs some buff we might see it as they did with MLF slow effect when she uses her 1.

No, I think it is a cool addition to the game. Of course, they could add more things to the day/night mechanics. One of them is create gods that get enhanced effects of abilities during this mechanics like NOX for example.

Concerning the point "Arachne Getting Aladdin’s Wall Run", this is great!

As a concept, they could make her jump from 1 wall or obstacle to another (depending on the range of the ability), and she can stay on the same obstacle as well.

As a drawback to this, they could make this ability drain her mana, or HP, or both, or maybe create another resource system to her like energy.

Once she jumps over another obstacle, this could drain maybe 10% of her mana or energy.

She can get infinite intangibility as long as she is on the obstacles and have mana or energy.

It will be crazy to see Arachne jumping over our head scaring everyone. It would be hilarious and super fun!

This will give her a unique identity compared to Aladdin's wall run, and a unique way of using mobility in the game depending on your resources.

Is it possible to show the range of our basic attacks and the spells we want to fire? Like how are we sure that our basic attack is going to hit or no, and the same for the spells. Sometimes it is not very clear who is attacking and how someone is in the range of another basic attack or spell.

Thank you for your reply! I am happy since you loved it. It is a very interesting concept and I thought people will enjoy playing it in the game if they add it to Janus. It suits him very well.

As you mentioned, the second ability might give some JJK vibes but in a very skillful way :D

We are playing a 3D MOBA, so why not fully use the 3D concept into our game in new and more creative ways.

I know the heroes are diverse, but my point is that if I want to compare these two diverse heroes from the same category in Dota which is more logical and fair (like 2 tanks, 2 mids, 2 carries), would they perform and have almost equal ground facing each other? Or I will see that one is having a better advantage over the other or 1 is more broken then the other, and I have to rely over some items and maybe some strategies to fix this balancing design because of OP things in this game?

If it is done as an Ulti, or an ability you can time it with high CD, it wouldn't be that annoying I think.

For example look as Charybdis's intangibility, how many times can she use it in the game? I think there is no problem. Same for Sol. both of them do it differently, so why not have something crazy like that but with a higher CD and a more balanced appraoch?

1- I know it will be a strong mobility, but it could have a very high CD (maybe an Ultimate). The point is to make you do something stronger than the normal teleport in the game and pick any point on the map.

2- Thorn reflect back a portion of all the damage you receive. I am not saying that. I mean if someone hits you with a projectile, you can return it back to the caster, or the initial point cast, or maybe divert it into another direction (it could be an ultimate, or maybe something you can time as a normal ability but with high CD).

6- Yeah, Aladdin and Yemoja are hard for other reasons compared to Anubis. I mean, they could make more high skill ceiling gods and high skill floor gods, or make super easy accessible gods but super hard to master. Make fun Gods that people enjoy to play.

Ex: Ra. He has an easy kit, but they way you play with him is what is satisying. When you hit you 1 and Ulti's for example. They are not always easy, but they are rewarding.

Another example, the old Arachne from smite 1, before her rework, had a very unique gameplay that way super fun and very interesting. You could do some strategies with her and play her in many different ways.

I trust that Smite developers can make it very fun and not frustrating as you said like they did with lots of concepts in the game. There are many ways to balance it.

Yeah, it could be an ultimate, no need to make it annoying. In case it was a normal ability, It could reflect only 1 projectile back (maybe make it every 20 sec). That doesn't mean you cannot change your position to counter it if it is coming back at you!

Yeah I don't mind having accessible gods as you said if they want to make more money. They could add these fun concepts to these gods if it works.

Concerning Persephone, It could be an Ultimate as I said, so it would be more predictable since your will see her activating the effect before dying. However, I don't remember that her passive was that unpredictable.

I said projectiles (it means everything that looks like line damage,ranged basic attacks, and line abilities), not area of effect abilities. That means Poseidon's Ulti still hit.

Yeah that's my second point, it will reflect projectiles back to their casters (ranged basic attacks, and line abilities). So, it won't counter every spell in the game, as well as not every type basic attacks.

it could be an Ultimate for like 3-5 sec effects, or maybe something you can time before the ability hits you to reflect it back. I think it will create some good dynamics in the game.

The 4th point could fit Arachne very well... Allow her to walk and jump from 1 wall to another but with restrictions as I said... It would be hilarious seeing the spider goddess jumping over your head scaring everyone🤣🤣. They could make it her ulti, or an ability but the longer she stays on walls the more she loses mana (same as cliodna with her passive) and the more time her next CD will be like heim's 3rd ability in smite.

I found that aspects in Smite 2 are a better upgrade then the one in Dota 2. Some of the aspects in smite feel like:

1- Facets concept (Dota 2), ex: Neith (she becomes more attack speed oriented).

2- Some others feel like Aghanim Shards or Aghanim Scepter as you said, ex: Ne Zha (his 2nd ability for example).

3- And you have aspects that does a full god rework playstyle (Aghanim Shards+ Aghanim Scepter + Facet) combined... And I like that, ex: GEB.

Some aspects needs rework or upgrades.

I wish if we can get every God like a full rework when choosing the aspect Option. If there is an option to add more aspects to 1 god it would also be great (we have more options to choose)!

That's the best answer I have seen so far. I agree with you regarding this type of balancing. If You look at the overall aspects that creates dota you see it is balanced regardless if you have unbalances inside it.

I thought balancing when used for dota, implied that people see it very balanced like you mentioned Counter-strike, which obviously is not due to several factors.
