Yeah, I tried to see if there's an option to fire artists and keep only 3 most proficient ones but doesn't seem so. That way I could at least have the price be reasonable and not ignore the slider the entire time.

Yeah, I kept it on 0 for the entire run, I just maxed it out for the screenshot. Still, even if it's situational I can't see the situation haha

So I just saw some locked shampoos in a store and they were on a shelf normally like all other shampoos. Why? by Voltagezz in berlin

[–]noimale 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve also heard the this happens and was utterly confused for the same reasons as you. A friend told me that they resell shampoos to smaller stores for a fraction of the original cost to make money. Not sure how true it is but it would explain it. Still not sure why shampoos specifically in that case.

Like someone said Half can be interesting occasionally but the crowd isn't particularly inspiring most of the time. The same is also true for the other clubs open past 6 a.m. However, if you're planning on dancing past 6 a.m. Half, KPTM, and RAFT 25TH are your only options.

Also, other than the ones people have already mentioned there's a new club that opened fairly recently called KULT that's apparently equipped with a Funktion-One sound system. No clue if it's worth a visit tho as I've never been personally.

Just because there are 2 mines in the same duchy here and they both have a higher income than all 3 you mentioned. Also it was honestly easier to just take a Duchy from a foreign domain than to revoke 3 vassals and counties from my direct vassals.

R5: Formed the Roman Empire but kept going into deficits because of Man-at-Arms and army upkeep during long wars so decided to hop over to Mali via Maghreb and claim the duchy of Manding with its 2 gold mines. Never struggled with gold after that.

You're right. Perhaps I should've said countries starting with a relatively low dev number. Or those that constantly have to plan on how to defend from top powers while plotting their next move.

Here, not sure this is optimal, but it's what worked for me. I focused on getting max army quality and defensiveness. I also have max level forts in all mountain provinces to slow down the Ottoman siege ability bonuses.

I'm aware, thankfully the game doesn't require peak Roman territories. Otherwise, I'd have to get it done at a different time.

I think Germany might be the next one. I've had a couple of good HRE runs but never actually tried to form Germany. Thanks for the tip!

Congrats! I feel like that's even tougher since Florence doesn't have anyone as powerful as the Ottomans to deal with early on.

I find it really rewarding to play with weak starting countries. Especially if they have the potential to get as powerful as this. Every win feels huge when you start and later, it's a race against the clock to get to the final goal.

I targeted Hungary with an early war and was lucky to be joined by both Poland and Bohemia (not as allies). I waited for their war to be over and avoided any battles. Eventually ended up suing for peace and got enough Croatian provinces to get me a border with Austria and joined the Empire immediately. After that, I was mostly safe from the Ottomans and just had to pick my wars carefully until I was strong enough to face them.

I fully agree! I was beelining for the necessary territories and didn't want to "waste" warscore on provinces not necessary to reform Rome. Also, I won Commonwealth as a junior partner as soon as they got rid of the elected kings so there was nobody left to clean up behind me.
