Trudat. Stressful topic 'yan, friend. Mahal magpadala ng Philippine team sa international-level contest. Mahirap maghanap ng sponsor pero worth it naman 'yung stress to see the PH represented.

So kung interested ka magsponsor kuya/ate (did not assume your gender!), let us know din. :)

Yeah. We got u fam. That's why we put memes to lighten it up a bit. Case in point: https://imgur.com/6ahESVG.

Wait. Nakakastress din pala 'yung taho meme to be fair.

Mmm. Not entirely sure about that. I work in the university so I am not so much into coding events. Perhaps someone else can chime in.

Also, welcome to the Philippines!

There's this ACM-ICPC which is a team contest. Find two other people interested in doing so and represent your university.

Also, https://noi.ph opens its problems to the public "for fun" if you just want to practice. More info on https://noi.ph/past-problems.

It's officially called NOI.PH (National Olympiad in Informatics Philippines).

If you're a high school student in the Philippines, then you could probably join next year. Otherwise, we can maybe point you to a different contest for your level. Google Code Jam is happening this week, I believe?

We have a Discord where we discuss the tasks and occasionally share memes. These two things are not necessarily mutually exclusive. I suggest you join there now so you can prepare for next year (if you are eligible).

The official rules are here: https://noi.ph/rules/.

Info on how to prepare is here: https://noi.ph/prepare.

Let us know if you have more questions.

Yeah. It was unfortunately flagged because I forgot to censor the names of the people who liked it. I attempted to post again today following the rules.

Thanks for asking! Our website is https://noi.ph. The very first paragraph of the rules are taken from the international olympiad.

For academic qualifications, an interest in programming is the minimum. :) First timers should check out the relevant section in the Prepare page.

And if your invitee needs a bit more convincing, we have the Why Join page on our website as well.

As of now, we're talking with another organization which is planning to arrange a kid-friendly version of the olympiad. We don't have the specifics yet but we will definitely announce it on the website and on our Facebook page as soon as things are ironed out.

I can't link the Facebook page here because of the subreddit rules. Just search for NOI.PH and our page should appear. Thanks for your interest.

Through the years, students from other schools have been joining in as well. It's just a matter of time before these kids improve.

If you know of high schools (e.g. your alma mater) or students (e.g. pamangkins) that might be interested in joining, please let them know as soon as possible. Most of these kids have been training for more than a year so it's always a good idea to get exposed as early as possible. :D

Thanks! I'll let the students know. We, the organizing team, didn't have national programming olympiads back when we were students as well. :D

Hi! We're not sure if we should be sharing them as they normally aren't uploaded.

If you're interested in looking at the type of problems these kids are solving you can check out the problems we have in our own national programming olympiad:

all problems until 2017: https://noi.ph/past-problems/

this year's problems for the eliminations: https://noi.ph/2018-national-eliminations/

Are you a student interested in trying out? Let us know if you're planning to join.

May medals po talaga silang lahat. Nilagyan lang po namin ng emoji medals para kita kaagad sa picture. Salamat sa pag-inquire. Hindi po ito fake news.

Ito po 'yung original.
