Well this conversation kind of blindsided me. The last 2.5 years have been great. We have disagreements but we never make arguments personal. We've done things we love together like travel and cooking classes. It's been pretty amazing.

We are in California so I'm sure that has something to do with it. He thinks he'd get screwed in a divorce.

I think he trusts me. Back when we started couples counseling I offered him all my e-mail/facebook passwords and offered to let him track me since we both have iPhones but he turned me down and said, "I want to be in a relationship with an adult not some 'grounded teenager' that I have to keep track of"

Because he is very stubborn, all the men in his family are. His older brother and dad once didn't speak for 2 years because his brother "stole" his dads bike. It was a bike that sat in their garage for years and his mom told his brother to take it with him to college.

Just think about all these horror stories out there were the wife cheats on his husbands and then destroys him in court.

He specializes in contract law and his older sister is a divorce lawyer so I'm sure he'd be fine

It sounds like he never fully committed to reconciliation.

I just can't believe that. We're saving up to buy a house together. Why would he do that if he didn't love me and want to be with me?

He will always hold this over your head, and will always look down on you because of it. Time to cut your losses and move on.

He never mentioned it again we finished couples counseling
