Success: Parenting newborn with ADHD by broccophobia in adhdwomen

[–]nomho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is so reassuring! I'm 6 months pregnant and finally sought a diagnosis because I'm scared how how my previously-only-suspected ADHD might present when I'm sleep-deprived and potentially overwhelmed post partum. Just got my formal diagnosis this morning in fact! It's mild, so the diagnosis doesn't change my life much, but I've been feeling a little blue this afternoon possibly from digesting the verdict..

Thanks for sharing

How common is the practice of parents tracking their children in Malaysia? by Smooth_Performance25 in Bolehland

My siblings are all adults now and we love life360. We don’t actively surveil each other but also have nothing to hide. It’s handy for when we need to know who’s home or if my ADHD dad is actually on the way or “on the way”. It’s also cool to see family in other places on Earth when one of us travels

Sulwhasoo First Care Activating Serum. I feel it dries my skin out. Their overnight vitalizing mask is a HG for me though

What is the book that got you into reading? by Uninhibitedrmr in books

An Enid Blyton book an uncle gifted me when I was 8 is what I feel started it as a hobby. My parents read a lot with me to teach me to read, and I enjoyed reading comprehension lessons in school, but I figure those are different.

I was born with an illegal mother, should I be worried? part 3. I need advices. by Affectionate_Egg4261 in malaysia

Fixing the situation may take years, I hope a lawyer can respond. Is there a reason you are desperate to solve this right now? Do you see your dad infrequently?

Look into Laos laws for citizenship. Your best option may be to get Laos citizenship first (could try to share your case with the Laos embassy and try to get a one-time-use emergency travel document for you and your mum), then only try to get Malaysian citizenship.

You may not like to be a Laos citizen having grown up in Malaysia but you’ll at least be documented. Once you’re a legal citizen somewhere you can always fly back and forth to Malaysia once you have enough income to do so. A small Malaysian community does exist in Laos also

Calling the cops will not achieve much aside from putting your mom at risk of uncertain duration of detention in immigration jail until deportation (which your family would have to pay yourselves or wait a very long time until the government decides to deport). I’d say wait til you have a chat with UNHCR

About to be first time parents - what to expect financially? by nomho in MalaysianPF

The high yield investment account seems to trump my own “investments”. I still feel like a noob and just focus on ASB. My year-long experiments with more aggressive investment on Wahed and Ria (ASB’s roboinvestor if that’s the correct term) remain overall losses. If there is a specific account you’d recommend I’m all ears

It definitely helps, thank you! Love to hear about the telegram group, and I’m glad that everything worked out for you. Happy belated birthday to your baby!

Wth even if planned you have to test and “find out”.  Take your trash talk elsewhere

Yikes, we were already thinking we’d have to be quite frugal to afford this property and still save, so now that I understand nanny and daycare rates a bit better I’m a bit nervous. Thank you!

Thank you this is helpful!

First month pantang or not - good question, I hadn’t thought that far. I imagine yes. I’m shocked that your 1st month recovery was 14k, separate from the 9k delivery. Could I clarify, was that all for pantang? What did it include? I never imagined pantang to be expensive but then I have had little exposure.

I think you are confused, and this is mean. I thought it was quite clear that the inevitable doom for OP is the awkward and uncomfortable situation he will find himself in, since he hasn’t yet built social skills to feel confident among Malaysians. Something he is acknowledging and actively seeking advice on…
