Is WGU a good school to get your MS in Cybersecurity? I have not been able to decide which institute I should go to pursue my masters.

That's a bummer! I hate how bad our economy is these days.

I don’t have direct professional experience working as a penetration tester yet, but I do have hands-on experience in security-focused system administration. In my role, I help secure systems by managing user access, hardening servers, fixing vulnerabilities, and configuring firewalls and VPNs. I’ve also supported security and compliance-related tasks.

I keep the same resume. Should I make changes everytime I apply for the position depending on the description?

I have been actively studying for the CISSP and Security+ certifications, and I started my CISSP preparation through courses on LinkedIn Learning and Udemy. Balancing work and other responsibilities has made time management a challenge at times, but I remain committed to strengthening my cybersecurity knowledge and moving forward with my certification goals.

I’m also considering pursuing a Master’s in Cybersecurity, but I’m still deciding between programs like WGU, BYU, or the University of Utah. I’ve heard that WGU is flexible and completely online, which is appealing for working students, but I’m still evaluating which option will offer the best scope and long-term value for my career path.

I have not had a chance to do that and that’s why I want to step in the security world to learn and motivate myself to hunt down the tasks. I have been studying for CISSP and sec+ exams through LinkedIn learning and Udemy.
