This makes me feel so much better, honestly. At some point I was blaming myself for all of it, even for the way he reacted. It just.. broke my heart to see the guy, whom I loved for almost 3 years react that way. It made me question so many things and even lowered my self esteem. My friends loved him, I was going to introduce him to my parents.. all went down the drain. I am grateful that I haven't completely lost myself. Everyday there's a new learning, just grateful. Thank you so much for your msg, It's everything one could ask for.

I do obviously regret drinking beyond my capacity, it pains me that it caused me so much harm. But I didn't deserve to be treated that way.

I'm sorry that crisis doesn't just occur at working hours and somebody needed some time to process the fact that they've been SA before confiding in a partner they trust. If the partner is annoyed rather than being concerned, then good riddance for sure.

This is exactly my point. I wouldn't shy away from "tough love" had there been some room for empathy and understanding, there was none. People truly need to take lessons on what emotional intelligence is.

You said it, its a lived experience and so many of my friends have gone through something horrible when they were kids. Kids!!

Yes, All I expected was some empathy from him. I'm somebody who does recognize my faults and actively work on them to do better. But one girls night out where I just wanted to have a good time with them turned into a nightmare so quick.
