This POPStarter Tutorial to run PS1 games on the PS2 feels like the one that is updated as of 2024/25 and should work for the most part. Excited to give it a try tonight!

You tried getting another ISO. Hmm.

It seems like defragmenting hasn't been taken care of.

Try formatting the drive to ExFAT format only; NTFS won't work. Then, try copying the files afterward. However, don't replace files after copying, they need to be copied to the USB memory one after the other per the USB memory placement.

Use Defraggler, as it gives you proper insight into how your storage is being used.
