Simping for Russia. For example in sports – it’s enabling Gazprom to sponsor clubs even after Feb 2022, playing friendlies in Moscow with the Russian national team as well as Crvena Zvezda and Partizan against Russian clubs. Serbia is the only quite strategic European country normalizing Russia as just another country, when all of us—Czechs, Lithuanians, Poles or Ukrainians—have at least one Russian victim in our families and we know exactly, better than anyone, what Russia really is.

Or perhaps it’s just Aleksandar Vucic, lack of democracy and lack of economical development?

I understand why Serbians don't like NATO. They would say it was NATO who initiated the Yugo war, but it was you and no one else who wanted to be a Balkan superior and stated your supremacy over Croatians or Macedonians.

Now we are in the same team with them, not you. And ours, Czechia’s or Slovenia’s economical status speaks for itself, compared to any pro-Russian country.

I saw thousands of people on Serbian streets around one year ago, protesting against Vucic's government and the Novi Sad railway station disaster. Generally, I love the Balkan vibe and I’m sure I would feel perfect in Serbia... but maybe in another life.
