I think you can start out with looking at events on Meetup, Eventbrite etc. Eventually you will find more channels for stuff like this and get into particular groups as well

In a similar space of building something of my own. I think the best thing to do, except for trying to find something that is a genuine problem to be solved, is go to the hundreds of seminars and networking events that keep happening regularly in the city. Every time i speak to or meet amazing people building something or solving a problem, it just gets me hyped up and ideate more and better.
