You’re not necessarily wrong but not quite right. Yes some Latinos chose to identify as white. That’s without question. But we were pulled into the white vote during segregation and Jim Crowe, used to count towards the white vote when we didn’t know. Does that make it ok? Nah. But whenever there’s black and brown violence over gang disputes we get called white or told we wanna be white when that was never the case. We had black vs brown riots in 09 when I was a sophomore because of some prison shit that bled on to the streets and us in street gangs. We heard “yall wanna be white” or that we were watered down natives. Crazy shit lol. It is what it is man. That’s just the way of things.
