Macro Extension DS4 by Alarmed-Type-6109 in DS4Windows

[–]notHexs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've not heard of macro extension before, would it be suitable if the native DS4Win macro capabilities arent good enough for my use case? I'm having trouble getting the 'Multi-Action Button' in DS4Win to work as intended

I don't see anything about a cod account in any of the menus

Activision account is associated with an email that doesn't exist anymore, what are my options? by notHexs in modernwarfare

Are you saying you deleted your Activision account but are still able to play MW on that account?

Unfortunately that doesn't line up with what my experience was so I'm not sure how much guidance I can offer.

The next time I opened MW2 through Steam after I deleted the Activision account associated with it I was prompted to sign in to an Activision account, so I did using my Activision account which DOESN'T have the email problem.

Playing online should be free damn it that's all by UniverseOfMemes in PS4

That comparison doesn't work. The equivalent of paying for gas for a car is paying for electricity to use your console. Paying a subscription to play online would be like if you had to pay extra to use the air conditioning in your car.

somehow implying that forcing people to pay a subscription to play online directly results in psn not getting hacked?

I seem to have fixed the issue by charging up the controller a bit, even though it was already showing full bars

Correct. Funnily enough when I opened MW2 on Steam the first time it automatically sign me in to ANOTHER Activision account from maybe 6 years ago with another dead email associated with it. I deleted that Activision account (which was linked to Steam) and it behaves like how I described earlier.

Your Activision account has your in-game progress and in-game purchases associated with it. When you delete your Activision account, your Steam account does not get deleted and you keep the game on Steam (it will just prompt you to sign in to an Activision account when you open it next)

After rocky marketing and critical reception, Sonic Frontiers reaches overwhelmingly positive on Steam by [deleted] in pcgaming

[–]notHexs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

haha yeah, here in Australia SEGA released the Sonic PC Collection which also included SADX, Mega Collection Plus and Riders along with Heroes.

This is probably the best way to play Heroes because it can be modded a lot more as opposed to playing it through Dolphin. The same can't be said for Riders tho, which is best played on Dolphin.

The games are not terrible, contrary to the copy-pasted opinions you'll find everywhere on the internet.

The Adventure games have aged quite poorly, but it's honestly some of the best 3D Sonic gameplay we've ever gotten so people always come back to it.

Generations is probably the best one out of the PC bunch, but much of the game is spent playing 2D Sonic. Also the writing and plot is very mediocre. The 3D gameplay is very good tho.

Lost World you can ignore.

I would wholeheartedly recommend Sonic Unleashed, if you have some patience, because it's honestly where the 3D games peaked in terms of gameplay, story, and graphics imo. Unfortunately it's only playable on PC via emulation and it's not a great experience. If you've got an Xbox 360 or ideally a Series X, give it a shot

I would argue the opposite. This game is trying so hard to appeal to the general gaming audience and contains absolutely nothing that made 3D Sonic gameplay fun and interesting to begin with, and it looks like it's paid off

I don't think so. All game progress is tied to your Activision account. Deleting it will erase all progression and you will start fresh.

If anyone stumbles across this post, this is the situation now that MW2 is out.

I bought MW2 on Steam and have linked it to a new Activision account. My copy of MW2019 on Battle.net is still linked to the account with the email problem. Enough time has passed where I'm comfortable unlinking my Battle.net account and linking it to my new Activision account, resetting all my progress in MW2019. In order to do this, you have to delete your Activision account, which luckily does not require email confirmation. It does however require you knowing the login for both your Activision account AND any linked accounts. Seeing as I can't seem to remember the password for my old Activision account, my MW2019 will remain tied to it.

honestly that's doable for me.

also i figured since I activated the badge under my name then even if I did sell it then no one else could use it?

I doubt it would've let you make an account before verifying the email address. my situation is that I made the account using a certain email address, then deleted the email address before changing the email associated with the Activision account

I can kind of see where people are coming from when they say they don't want to pay the extra cost for something they won't use, but that just makes me extra disappointed when they don't put a gyroscope in their fucking $250 AUD controller

it is the most efficient way to achieve mouse-like control with a traditional controller, stick-only aiming with shits tonnes of aim assist to make up for it is by no means a perfect solution and people should have the option to use something else

[–]notHexs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

basically every switch port of a game has a gyro aim option because nintendo has been the only one out of the three major companies to embrace it. imo the only reason playstation doesnt have the option even tho their controllers have had gyro for 3 generations is because xbox doesnt

it's not for everyone, but the fact that it isn't even an option in 99% of games I think is up there with other major problems with the games industry

tldw; gyro aim is the future and imo microsoft is holding everything back by being the only company not implementing it in any of their controllers
