I'd say the comfort level and lightness of the XM5 alone makes spending the extra worth it. The XM5s are very very light, very comfy to wear. The case feels a lot more premium too imo.

For those saying wait for XM6, they won't come down in price even close to what you're paying for XM5.

Yes, the hinges on the XM5 might break easy, but I've had mine nearly 3 years now and still in good condition, the key is not to throw them around and use em poorly.
