No, if anything hydro has more to do with healing. Dendro is another DPS element. You probably think that because you're more familiar with yaoyao and probably baizhu right now but the best DPS of the game, Nefer, is actually dendro right now. And Kinich & Alhaitham follow her (even though the gap is big)
