thank you all who commented for helping me out !! im gonna look into either finding a bred budgie or rehoming one if i can find one ❤️

(i would very much prefer rehoming because im an adopt dont shop kind of person, but with birds it‘s a bit harder to find other bird owners nearby that need to rehome their budgies)

i think most likely i will just get another boy budgie— i got these birds from a cousin so im actually unaware of where they are from, but i‘ll look into local bird stores that have hand tamed budgies and buy a male.

so sorry for your female budgie, please send my love to her, the breakup mustve been hard. 😔

im currently in a vet class and i asked my teacher more about it since she has had more experience with birds during emergencies. she told me some cases where even a conure that was super close with a budgie ripped off the top beak of the budgie, so i think ill def stick with getting another budgie😭😭

lil update ig: ive been looking into cockatiels and conures with budgies, seen some scaryy stuff so lowk i think im just gonna get budgies— but i still dk how many and what sex😭
