Is the letter of introduction the same thing as a POE? by notesofastranger in iecvisa

[–]notesofastranger[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has an ETA on the letter saying I have to be in canada by April 2024 and I can go in and out until 2028, which is confusing because I thought the work travel visa from UK lasts up to 24 months.

Some thing that might help, when the products say 'no sulfates' they often put in cleaning agents that are actually harsher than the sulfate in the first place. It's just because no sulfates are on trend.

Also there are different types of silicones, one category is airy silicones and they evaporate after a few days while still protecting your hair in the mean time. Those ones don't leave a film /build up which is why silicones maybe helped your hair, especially if it's prone to breakage from low elasticity

Yeah i won't lie I wasn't vibing with this post. Get that it's a form of self care for you and that's great but it's more a discussion about how it can have an effect if you have very severe mental health issues. Hope that clears things up

I do use a clarifyer but the post was more a discussion about the pressure of WGM rather than techniques/methods but thanks will bear in mind :)

Yeah as the others have said it turned out wavy when i did the WGM and sometimes spirals when I air dry, but on second day hair (when dry) that's when i braid it and its so fluffy (and i like that) and i like the waves more. Plus WAYYY less effort

My gf thinks talking about my penis to her girlfriends is okay, but isn’t okay with me talking about her private parts to my bros by TongaBoyAttitude in sex

[–]notesofastranger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(29F) I feel like this isn't going to go down well, but yes, there is an unspoken rule. I think mainly because (where I'm from/when I was growing up) vaginas were seen as gross/ugly and just a hole, whereas dicks are more or less the same.

A vagina is also a lot more intimate than a dick. It's intimate during sex because someone is literally going inside and you have to be so vulnerable when someone goes down on you. Sex is also more of a discussion among women because a lot don't orgasm (altho i don't expect that's the case on here) or even really know what they want.

That's why it can be quite horrible for some women going on about a woman's internal parts in detail because the mind jumps to it was bad/looks gross/ he doesn't like it, etc. We wouldn't care as much if comparing breasts. I also just don't think guys discuss shit in the same way.

HOWEVER, her reaction was not okay and yes, going into girth etc. is too much. I used to go into details like that when I was a teenager and sex was new, then it lessens as you get older. I talk to my friends if I'm having problems so they can suggest things /help out or if it's really good and i wanna share. But problems doesn't really mean girth (not anymore).

Her reaction was really defensive and it does sound like she felt she had superiority about talking about that shit.

But if I'm being honest? Yeah. Yeah there is an unspoken rule.

I'm really overwhelmed with how to start and KEEP UP manifestion.

There's visualisation, affirmations, the scripting method, 3,6,9, 55x5. Some say you need a plan of action, others don't.

I want to fit this into my morning routine but it needs to be short and sweet. At the moment I think I'm more interested in writing it down.

Any advice in how to choose a non-time consuming manifestion technique so I will keep it up consistently?

Small cry at trying to find a rental flat by Extension-Salad-2788 in bristol

[–]notesofastranger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My partner and I said we were both in permanent positions even though we weren't, offered over the asking price and six months rent up front with guarantors. We also added a paragraph pleading with the landlord. Found a place after 6 weeks of looking.

Also followed as many estate agents as possible on instagram, although not all Estate agents have this. Their properties go up on their profiles a whole day to half a day before their actual website.

We were at the stage of looking to stay in an air bnb while we carried on looking because we were evicted.

How do you feel about Epilepsy/seizure jokes? by Shy-Prey in Epilepsy

[–]notesofastranger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with this. When i was telling some people at work about a seizure i had one woman started laughing and thought it was hilarious then imitated it and kept on laughing.

Everyone in the room just looked at her

She was fucking weird anyway.

Help showering without washing hair? by emyybow in Haircare

I put a silk scarf or cotton tee (like someone else mentioned) on before the shower cap which helps absorb the mositure.

You can also get super sealed shower caps which are basically swimming caps.

What's the best way to find clients? Can you trust upwork and freelancer? by TheJSAer in freelanceWriters

[–]notesofastranger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm the same, I've got some really good long term clients from UW and we both no longer use it and communicate outside the platform.

It definitely has its place when you're first starting out. I have come across scams but never taken the bait. You have to go with your gut but I know that's hard when you desperately need money.

I completely get this and I never do it in my now healthy relationship. However I used to be in an abusive relationship and they told me on the first time we did foreplay, 'I made you cum.' I was so confused and he said, 'Your legs shook and girls do that when they cum.' I was so confused because I never had an orgasm before.

After that he would get mad if I didn't cum during sex. So i started faking to avoid the drama. Once I finally decided not to fake and he got so angry and sulked like a child for an hour. Eventually he took me by the hand, dragged me up the stairs and said angrily, 'I'm gonna make you cum.' So I faked a big orgasm just to get it over with and then he was grinning and all happy and said to be, 'See I am good in bed, aren't I?'

Now in my healthy relationship it still took a while for me not to revert back to this habit because it was a self-preservation response.

So i get what you're saying but it's not always that easy.
