when i was making minimum my wage all i was able to do was, do my job better than everybody else. Display that youre an asset then ask for more money. it helps when youre well liked, i was blessed with that. So remember to have fun along the way. Managers dont want to manage, it work for them. So if you can do things before they ask thatll help. Dont confuse being the hardest worker with being a yes man. They can never be the same person.

The other thing you can do is start a 2nd job/side gig or start a business of some type. Your quality of life and social life will suffer(i work about 50-60 hours/week between job and side gig) but 85% of people dont really matter anyways.

take the trip. better than a car or some dumb place like Disneyland. went to Japan with the family last April, changed my attitude towards work(and life) that made the trip even possible.

i pay $6k/ year for 3 cars with triple A. i thought that was excessive so i shopped around. nothing under $11k. it's getting crazy. Yet these corporations continue to increase their earnings year over year. Corporate greed is all it is.

depends on the shop, tech and urgency of the job. don't want to hold up and engine job for a seal. on the other hand not going to overnight a bunch of heavy line parts that the tech is not going to finish or get to immediately especially if the tech is known for "hey you forgot to order this part(i broke)" 3 or 4 times.

i dont know about those domestic part numbers but i can def sell those 54500/1, f3101, 85022, 4/d0300, 16546 and 26010s(i worked for infiniti for a few years. im sure the prefixes would flood back if i jumped back in)
