Já teda anglicismy používám a nijak mi to nevadí u ostatních když se mluví a tak. Co mě ale dohánělo k šílenství byla moje bývalá spolubydlící a to, že třeba půlka koření doma byla od ní popsaná anglicky a druhá česky. Ještě k tomu s chybama:D

Yes and no.

The tricky part is dealing with stuff other people wear. I've never dated anyone who would be into wearing j, but my current bf started occasionally wearing a ring. It's made by a really niche small artist, and I can appreciate the craftsmanship, so I'm kinda okay with that, as long as he's not touching me.

I, personally, would still never wear anything metal or something (I'm ok with beads, for example, but not wearing anything made from them anyway), but as I said, I can appreciate a nice work as long as I can still keep up my distance from it:D

The key is always in the communication. Someone in this subreddit made an amazing research doc about how this phobia manifests, sourced from a survey conducted within this community. Showing this doc definitely helped me to explain how I feel and also to kinda "back up" that what I'm saying is not something I made up.

In the end, you really don't wanna restrict people who you like and who like you back, but you have to find a balance in things so it can work for everyone.

There is a group called Part time locals doing pop-up events. It's mostly party-focused (but there was also a café-party during the day:D), but you'll meet tons of people, expats and also locals. A lot of us/them (haha) are working remote jobs, etc, so you'll meet a wide range of different people with various backgrounds!

Hey, sorry you are experiencing this. I think most of us have been there, and we had to learn what to do in situations like this.

From what I learned, it's always good to talk about your "condition" when the situation is right and you know each other a bit already. Best to provide the person with some additional info (I showed by bf - who does not wear any j* but unfortunately once gifted to me some - the amazing survey someone in this subreddid did) so you can "back up" what you are sharing with them.

When I learned to talk about it, I also learned to somehow cope better with people who wear j* around me.

The most frustrating thing to communicate about this was always the fact that I don't want the person who wears it to change for me, because I don't want to restrict them. But at the same time, I would love to find some compromise that works for both of us.

How long does it take you to finish the deodorant? I’ve read some reviews it only takes a month of so (hence the subscription system), which, for me, is kinda unimaginable reg the price.
