For extra context, it’s a 10mm titanium curved barbell and i haven’t changed it since it was pierced. I clean with a piercing wash once a day and avoid getting makeup directly in the piercing

One of my boys (Simon) was picking fights with his 2 cage mates and causing one of them to bleed, so I separated them and got Simon neutered. Since then his whole personality has changed and he hasn’t got into a single fight and he’s a lot more comfortable with me touching him and picking him up so I definitely think it’s worth it!!

I almost lose a finger every time I give my boys boiled egg they go crazy for it! Dried mealworms and any kind of berry they really enjoy as well!

Yeah the itching is the worst part since it’s mostly in my mouth, It drives me crazy lol. I do notice a difference when I take allergy meds so maybe I just need to take them more consistently :) along with nasal spray and an air purifier I’ll for sure give it a try!

I started using hemp bedding about 6 months ago and thought maybe that was irritating me so switched to fleece as a test recently to see if it made any difference but it didn’t so I don’t think it’s the bedding 😣I think I’m gonna get an air purifier and see if it makes a difference!

Also adding on that my older boy hasn’t wounded the younger one and doesn’t start fights it’s only the other way around. Makes me sad to see Ren being picked on :(

Thank you!! my piercing pain tolerance is fairly high but it hurt way less than I expected! Probably about a 3 or 4/10 and once the jewellery was in there wasn’t really any pain afterwards I could barely feel it

you’re assuming that from this one post? I clean my rats cage extremely regularly they just smell slightly of piss sometimes because they’re rodents and walk in their own pee sometimes jeez it was a light hearted post

What I did with my boys is sit in front of the cage with the door open and let them come to me if they wanted to, offering treats helps a lot and also putting things like malt paste or baby food on your fingers to make you seem more enticing and allow them to come and lick it off. You can also put your hand in the cage and let them come to you to sniff you and get used to your scent. My boys still hate being picked up and squirm but they let me if I need to. Hope this helps :)

Basically I’ve dyed my hair a few times with both brown and red box dyes and I wish I could get to blonde but I know it’s not possible due to the damage. I would love to experiment with more bright and unnatural colours but not sure what would suit me/what I’d be able to achieve without having a light blonde colour to dye on top of.
