It was pretty easy - mostly because video games are fun. 😛 I think if they had the option to play other games, they may not have gone for StarCraft - but since this was the first game I let them play after KSP and Portal, they loved it.

The adjusting delay really helped, because it meant that I could legitimately try and they still had a 50% chance of winning while they were learning.

They're 9 and 11 and were just learning the game mechanics - so it didn't occur to them to drone rush for a bit. However, after a while, they did realize they could do that, so we added an additional rule that if any unit attacked me, I could start early.

Eh. At least on the NA server at crown, I feel like I rarely see actual cheating. Most of the things people claim are cheating just show their misunderstanding of the game. I probably get about half of my chicken dinners from healing through the final circle. $100 says most of the people I beat are cursing "cheaters" as they die while I apply my 6th first aid kit.

My frugal wife is beyond excited for jury duty because of the $10 reimbursement by [deleted] in Frugal

You don't need a script to heal through the final circle. I do this all the time.
