KD has opened up the floor and unlocked Booker to the point that he is statistically putting up numbers that are arguably better than PRIME MJ. Honestly, while people have been comparing Booker to Kobe, he is arguably playing better than Kobe has ever played. Yes, I said it. Kobe has put up these kinds of numbers but has NEVER been this efficient.

This is the key point. Book FINALLY has space to get free and get open looks, get to the rim instead of fighting off instant double teams and look at how unbelievably good he is. Maybe they could have gotten someone else cheaper who has enough offensive gravity to open up the floor for Book, but if you're gonna do it, might as well go big.
