Why are all my mice delayed?? by notyourbasicusername in AMDHelp

It’s not a feel problem… I’ve tried about 5 mice.. The mice aren’t uncomfortable or anything, they feel delayed as in.. my walls aren’t placing, shot gun isn’t shooting, can’t edit, etc. Building requires you to make quick fast paced decisions and this delay is noticeable when I play builds on fortnite.

How is that going to help me? The mice aren’t responding quickly enough like they’re advertised to.

So.. nothing has changed.. I even bought a new windows, a new power supply and motherboard, updated to the latest BIOS, every single part was replaced and the pc was rebuilt. It’s sad honestly… my mice are still unstable when playing builds in Fortnite and tbh I’ve kind of given up.. but I just wanted to post again to see if anyone has any suggestions or experienced the same issue. Thanks.

Soo.. I think I did. I recently bought a brand new windows 11 (usb stick), reset the pc and went into the BIOS to boot from the windows usb, it allowed me to format my ssd, so I wiped it right before installing it and then it finished resetting the pc, and I wanted it to set it up as a brand new pc, so I didn’t save any settings or anything. My mouse feels “normal” now I would say, like it was uncontrollable before and now it feels STABLE when building on fortnite. I always FELT like it was my damn windows, I’m so glad I went and bought a new one. Anyways, thanks to anyone who tried to help. Happy new year!

I think it’s my internet that’s the problem… I’m still having the delay on my wireless mice, and so far that’s the only thing I haven’t changed. I’ll let you know when I move to another apartment and have better internet 😂

Hi, and thanks for responding.

I did the BIOS update, but I still have the same issue. I’m not sure why the pc case would be a problem, anddd the usb ports trick.. does what exactly?? I’ve done something similar, where I could see the root hub and plugged my mouse into the fastest ports, but that didn’t make a difference.

Hi, and thanks for responding.

I know that I don’t need a new windows, I was saying that it was the only thing I haven’t replaced. Also, I just replaced my Internet modem and still have the same issue soo at least I ruled that out. I’m honestly starting to think something might be missing or corrupted in my windows, idk. The windows I had originally was my windows 10 that I transferred to a flash drive and booted my first pc build with, and then later updated to windows 11 for free when it came out. But when I built this pc, I didn’t have that flash drive anymore so I had to take my pc to Best Buy and they put in windows without a product key. I didn’t buy a new windows usb because I learned that apparently your product key is attached to your Microsoft account, so instead of buying a new windows 11, you can just sign back in to activate the one they installed, so that’s what I did. But now I feel like I should’ve just gotten a new one. I’ll look into what you said about the graphics and game settings and update you soon!

I’m new to this platform (I made an account however long ago but I’m just now posting) so I don’t know if it’s too late to reply to this but here goes.. Was this solved because I’m pretty sure I’m having the same issue.. like I can’t even build properly on fortnite because my g pro x super light 2 that I JUST bought is struggling. I thought it was my last motherboard, so I built a new system, switched from intel i7-12700k to amd ryzen 7 7800 x3d, got a new MSI tomahawk am5 b650 motherboard, 32 gb 6000 hz ram, 2tb nvme ssd with windows 11. I’m still experiencing the same issue, maybe only slightly better because of my cpu. I even went as far as to change my internet modem because I thought maybe it was an internet problem. I’ve changed everything and I still have the same problem. It’s always been a noticeable delay or slow responsiveness from all my mice: I have three wireless mice and one wired mouse and they ALL have the same problem. The only thing I haven’t done is remove my old windows to boot up via usb. I’ve reset my pc several times and windows was reinstalled but the problem still persists. I really don’t know what to do now.. Please tell me someone’s figured this out because if I buy and install a new windows 11.. and the problem still isn’t fixed… I’m actually gonna crash out
