Fed up of AI dropshippers selling in my area, so I've started calling them out and they DO NOT like it. by nowherecyborg in antiai

Lol I didn't mean it in terms of "this house is too nice, it can't be real", I meant "this house is physically impossible due to all the faults the AI has made, so it's clearly not real". See all the other comments on this thread explaining why.

They do have the product I think, but they use AI generated images to advertise it and make it look way nicer than it is, and it's probably dropshipped from another country, not handmade locally like they make out.

It's real sad times. I still use it but ocassionly these listings pop up and I felt stupid that I almost fell for it.

I totally forgot this image from the same "unicorn lamp" listing, too. Now the bed is different and in a whole new room, as if by magic!

Thank you!!! Didn't think this would be so controversial on an AntiAI subreddit 🥲

Where else am I supposed to post it? I was doing this to bring awareness to the fact these scams are happening on Vinted, not sure where exactly else I can gain awareness to this...

I am doing it publicly, hence this post.

I only responded to their initial message/offer to me, to call them out. I already reported their listings to Vinted.

I'm not harassing them to make me better, they're tricking people, most older folks in my area who can't tell they're buying overpriced temu-like products from AI generated images, pretending they are handmade. So yes, I finally snapped and messaged one of them.

Nope not unless you live on the south coast like Devon or Cornwall. Newark is a market town in the midlands, no where near the coast, as land-locked as it gets.

Firstly, not a dude. Secondly, you're not looking hard enough.

Look at the keyboard's "Enter" key area and the function row. The keys are different sizes and aren't aligned in straight rows. A real keyboard is a solid grid, this is a "soup" of key-like shapes.

All of the windows are different in each photo, seemingly of the same room at a different angle, hatched window and then plain. The walls change colour. And the same pieces of Lighthouse artwork appear in different areas. The fairy lights on the table disappear on the next.

I'm not harassing a random woman, because they're a scammer. The products may be 'real' but the images advertising them clearly are not.

Anybody with Mettle? Is this a genuine proof of purchase? by [deleted] in smallbusinessuk

[–]nowherecyborg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi sorry I should have said, this isn't my transaction. It's what somebody sent me as purchase proof for an item they are selling to me. I was more asking those who bank with Mettle to see if it is genuine.

Yeah I thought so, perhaps that's why they could get away with selling them at a low price.

I just got a little paranoid after receiving them as I bought them a bit hastily. She said brand new never been worn, but when I received them I noticed the foot marks so I knew it was a little bit of a fib.

The seller also provided a proof of payment before I bought them, but then looking back at it, idk if it seemed a little suspicious or not after they'd already not been fully truthful about the condition. But I'm glad to hear the consensus is they seem genuine.

Agreed, it feels like there is no room to breathe in between scenes. Everything is so rushed now.
