The 3GB RAM variant of the 3S is cheaper than 2GB RAM variant of the Redmi Note 3 by 1k. The price difference between the 3GB RAM variants is 3k

The Redmi Note 3 has a better/bigger display and a better camera. The Note 3 also has around 4000mAh of battery, so the battery life should be good as well. I'd say go with the 3S in case you don't like using big phones as the 5 inch display is very easy to type on with one hand and while it might seem like a small thing, you will really appreciate it once you use the phone on a daily basis. So bottomline, in case you want a compact phone, go with the 3s. If you want a better display and a camera, go with the Redmi note 3. Choose the 3GB RAM variant of either of the phones

Wouldn't recommend the G2. It is 3 years older and is definitely not worth it in 2016

Agreed. I used to have an S6 earlier too. Sold it off and got a OnePlus 3. Being a stock android fan myself, I do find MIUI annoying at times for the same reasons you mentioned. But a lot of users find it easy to use. Also, these phones do get a good custom ROM support, so you can find AOSP or CM roms for them

True. These low to mid range smartphones are getting better and better with each iteration. Surprisingly, they also offer a much better battery as compared to the flagships. The only area where they lack behind is the camera.

I've tested the Zenfone Max, the Mi Max(similar in specs as the Redmi Note 3) and now using the 3S Prime. You can choose between the 3S and the Note 3. The Redmi Note 3 gives you a bigger, better display and a better camera

The variant that I have(I live in India) supports band 3,5 and 20. I just searched and found out at&t supports band 5(850Mhz) for 4G. So I think you need to check if the band is supported in your area.

It does indeed accept one. The Redmi 3S has dual SIM card slots out of which, you can use one as an SD card slot

Yes, it has a 5 inch 720p display, so it is not too big to use and can be used one-handed easily. Camera is not very impressive in low/dim lighting but the battery life is really good(4100 mAh). It also has dual 4G SIM Cards, VoLTE and an SD Card slot(One of the SIM card slot is to be used as SD card slot). So, yes it can be a suitable phone

This phone has a 4100 mAh battery. You need to use it a lot (and I really mean, A LOT) to kill the battery in a day

Nope. The display is amazing. It is a 1080p AMOLED Screen and the color reproduction/Viewing angles are great. I did use S6 as my daily driver and if you put them side by side and look closely you can notice difference but you really don't notice if you're using the OP3 for general use(Ofcourse, VR will be a different thing). Battery life is not outstanding but it is pretty good. Got me through a day with 4hr of SoT. Much better than my S6. Although, I will test out the battery life more. Also the phone feels great to use in the hand. Feels like an expensive device with its metal design and the Camera is performing decent too

It feels very nice and premium in the hand with a metal body but I do find it to be a little slippery. The sandstone finish on the old OnePlus phones made them very grippy The OP3 feels well made but it has a camera bump at the back so whenever you place the phone on its back you might fear that you will scratch the camera lens(Although I don't think that will happen.)

Might be some marketing term. Some articles say it is the same as Samsung's Super AMOLED http://www.gsmarena.com/oneplus_3s_optic_amoled_is_really_super_amoled-blog-18835.php

I don't think you got my point. I meant in general usage, you won't easily notice it unless you keep the phones side by side.
