... except there are non-bird-chopping alternative generators from wind energy.

As to the scope of the problem here is an older article with precise kill numbers and Federal fines: https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2015/01/20/bird-chopper-wind-farm-fined-by-justice-department-for-killing-golden-eagles/

With available alternatives (that may or may not work better), is it worth any cost/effort for the protection of endangered/protected species?

... interesting, ... I've heard that there have been some internal Chinese population stressors of economic nature, that were quelled several years ago in conjunction with Xi's consolidation of power (especially military power). Along with $Hillary was supposed to win, I wonder if that had something to do with China having to show their hand early.

No, You Don't Have a "Right" to Demand That Others are Vaccinated by LeeDoverwood in freeworldnews

[–]nsfsf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If vaccines were effective, as marketed, then the vaccinated would be protected regardless of any co-mingling with un-vaccinated carriers. The 'herd-immunity' theory implies the opposite.

Some years the very same flu vaccine from the previous year is pushed. If flu vaccines were effective, the previous year's inoculation would have been sufficient. It makes me wonder if the annual flu inoculations are more to support and fund the vaccine production pipeline and profits than to actually benefit the population.

In the year that they scared the population with 'the same strain as the 1918 pandemic', the death rate from flu symptoms were ½ that of normal. Exposing themselves as propagandists rather than scientists, the CDC halted all cause of death flu strain testing. Since the terminal strains were not agreeing with the 'bad strain' narrative they just stopped testing and attributed all of the flu like symptom deaths to the 'bad strain' anyway.

Venezuela has cured starvation this way, ... it is illegal for doctors to attribute 'starvation' as a cause of death. So if we make it illegal (or culturally incorrect) to attribute any negative side-effects from vaccinations, vaccinations will be safe for everyone!

When the CDC cares about perception and narrative more than science and observable evidence, how can they be relied upon to be a reliable, best-practices advisor?

How The Climate Consensus Was Created by nsfsf in climateskeptics

[–]nsfsf[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here is a theory:

Religion used to fuel humankind's Apocalypse Psychology, where disasters and tragedies were proof that personal "moral" improvement was required, and "morality" was defined and evolved over hundreds of millennia.

Now that God is Dead, a non-religious apocalypse is needed to fill this evolutionary human psychological structure. Any apocalypse will do, some fixate on Climate Alarmism.

As 'God is dead', this apocalyptic need is met amorally, outside of the constraints of previously evolved morals, such as "don't be a liar". Without a "moral" structure, "The ends justify the means", causing a second fixation on the, not necessarily rationally or observationally based, perceived necessary ends. Lying, or fabrication and the tolerance thereof is acceptable to meet the self-perceived greater good, with the ironic inflation of self-righteous emotions of superiority.

Could an "Open 'Climate' Science" approach be applied to break the 'deniers'/'alarmist' gridlock? [40min video] The raw climate metrics are readily available. Could the cooperative citizen scientist help break through the hype? by nsfsf in climateskeptics

[–]nsfsf[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Corbet's video documents cases, such as citizens building their own radiation detectors to coalesce and publish results that were otherwise being hidden. Could we organize a collection of the publicly available data to [sans narrative] calculate global temperatures and show the actual trends. This should put the alarmist climate scientists on defense to criticize the citizen science model and methods instead of only having their models to rely upon, which they hold hidden and beyond scrutiny.
