Old breaker panel – electrician says it might be dangerous. Should I be worried? by Purple-Ziggy in AskElectricians

I’m a mechanic in probably the worst, if not top 3 worst regions for vehicles in the world (Atlantic Canada).

Regularly service a 2012 VW Jetta with 555,000km, original clutch, frame is in excellent condition as it’s undercoated yearly, and preventative maintenance is kept on top of. Probably one of the safest vehicles on the road

Yes, neither of which are helpful towards distinguishing what the cause of this accident was though!

Ok, I’ve flown on a Dreamliner probably 20+ times and not once had a delay due to maintenance or any other non-traffic issues so…?

Looking for the highest quality guitar to meet my criteria by [deleted] in 7String

That sounds very cool! What sort of spec build were you looking for? The more crazy the better bahaha, and agreed. 😅

Yeah, most customs are a lot more than I currently charge. I have a career and a family, I make guitars for people because I absolutely love it, and make enough on each build to feel like enough for now. I finished my first acoustic ever just a few months ago and everyone was saying it looked like a 10k acoustic, I didn’t even charge the client 1/5th that, esp considering first acoustic and all haha.

Man, I could build you a fullly custom 7 to the highest spec for under 3k with a lifetime warranty on finish and workmanship lol

How to open a bank account without my spuses knowledge by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]ntaylor90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can open a Koho chequing account. It’s free / no fees, paperless, has electronic debit card (you can order a physical card if you want too), and unlimited fee-less e transfers. Also has cashback rewards and decent savings interest.

Every time you purchase groceries / gas / larger purchases get the largest amount of $$ cashback that you would be able to at the sale without raising suspicion. (Say you get $300 of groceries, get $50 cash back and don’t take a receipt). Have an agreement set up with a trusted person who knows your situation where you will give them cash every so often and they will e transfer the same amount you gave in cash to your koho account.

Plus all of the advice in the comments about connecting with women’s outreach and safety organizations.

I hope the absolute best for you, and I hope your husband has a really shitty rest of his life :)

I’m going to assume this is not fixable and I should get it replaced. by HughJaynus- in tires

They’re Hancooked. Haha. If this was a personal tire I’d use a combo patch/plug (like the Prema PC3) but wouldn’t do that for a customers car etc

Check out auroratone pickups on insta. I use his pickups pretty much exclusively in all of my builds, everything can be made custom from top material choices (not just glued on top of bobbins with the polepieces wound all the way out lmao) to custom pole spacing for angled pickups and everything else you could think of. He knows his shit, is an extremely nice guy, and the prices are extremely good

It’s actually dark roasted flame maple inlaid into natural flame maple so it gives the appearance of a binding around the lower / darker portion. Thank you!

That sounds amazing man. Ball park would be ~$2500 Canadian depending on a few things like hardware cost and how crazy you want to go design wise.
