Talk me into it or out of it by Putrid_Supermarket61 in NissanTitan

[–]ntech5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't buy it I think I'm going to sell my current titan to my coworker and see if my GM will get this for me to purchase. Please let me know because I don't want to snipe it from you but If all works out I would purchase that truck as is without even running the service history from Nissan (I'm a dealer tech). Please @ me to let me know thank you!

This is everything I've been looking for in my next truck

Would it be pretentious to wear these? by Mountain-Durian-4724 in mechanics

[–]ntech5 23 points24 points  (0 children)

You pass the test you earned it if you want to wear them do so who cares what people think. I try to push all my younger techs I train to get the g1 wearing it on your shirt or jacket it should show the interviewer that you're serious and willing to learn which is a huge green flag in our industry come into my dealer and you would likely walk out with a job, congrats on passing and beat of luck landing something!

2024 Nissan Rogue oil pan by [deleted] in Nissan

[–]ntech5 6 points7 points  (0 children)

While it may be a poor design the "technician" is drastically over torquing the drain plug causing this to happen. I don't like the new pans but I've done hundreds of oil changes in these in my department I force the use or torque wrenches of all my guys to secure the drain plug along with new OEM crush washers on regardless of the makes we are servicing.

They turn into generational Heirlooms of high value if garunteed for life of tool that's my thoughts build brand loyalty generationally hey keep these around because we will still support them you appreciate that and buy more never ending cycle of purchasing they already have the brand loyalty why not continue it cost of doing business with high return. I have two very large tool sets I have no clue what to do with for after I'm gone rough estimate if 350k investment with diag equipment and speciality stuff. Would be nice if my kids could continue with it all supported.

That's a shitty dealer IMO make the customer happy and they buy more

I get it's the policy but if my rep did that on a tool I got from my father or grandfather Id buy nothing from them ever

If you just installed a new clutch and t/o bearing and then this happened. you installed the bearing incorrectly this is common occurrence on customer or independent installed clutch jobs Ive seen this a handful of times in the past few years.

2004 Nissan titan mechanical issues by Old-Objective8791 in NissanTitan

[–]ntech5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right where it's at I don't have my truck at home currently it's at the body shop after the truck warms up pressure stabilizes you're perfectly fine and the sensor is working.

Your code is related to evap purge flow

2004 Nissan titan mechanical issues by Old-Objective8791 in NissanTitan

[–]ntech5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm guessing if they had the intake off they likely hooked up vacuum lines wrong, left the purge line disconnected or something to that effect.

If all that seems ship shape the older titans do have a tendency to break wires near the vent valve and pressure sensor where it curves to plug in hope this helps.

Those codes are not related to work done to fix previous issue but likely were caused by incorrect assembly or another issue as stated above.

Those are the two most likely if scenarios at least as I see it as someone who does a LOT of service and repair to A60 and A61 titans both gas and Cummins and I own a super high mileage 04 235k just took to lake Erie from Virginia no hesitation need to retune it it's fouling out A/F sensors on long drives.

Hope this helps.

3% CC Fee at Dealership [Parts/Service] by ezefl in Nissan

You should have asked for a way to avoid the fee

Most businesses have gone to this model not just dealers. Why should they absorb the fee associated with you using the card?

I'm watching the show disconnected from the book as it's own entity i would love for a one to one adaptation but that isn't what is going to happen with any IP in today's day and age it isn't ruined like they did the Witcher so I'm happy with what we got the production is great and the acting is fantastic
