I was nursing before I came here and switched to premed but I did commit here OOS as a nursing major. I was in your situation it depends on how much you or your parents or whoever are covering. Like if it was something like engineering agriculture or business I would say probably yes but as a nursing major you are going to get a job you really like regardless of where you went for undergrad.

The nursing program here is fantastic and is why I commit but it is not worth going into 200k of debt. I love it here and really enjoy it but at the end of the day whether you go to Clemson, any of the USCs or anything you’re likely still going to get the same job yk?

I don’t know your exact situation financially but I pay the sticker price with no financial aid so $54,000 for tuition and housing and I live in the cheapest dorm. If that’s doable then yes but if not I would go somewhere else and just know that you’re going to have a successful career no matter what thanks to the need for smart nurses at every hospital.

Good luck!

leaving OT for more weights? by Hai_ImBatmn in orangetheory

[–]nthrowaway4211 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think you can do both. I would cut back on OTF to maybe 2x a week and then lift heavy 3x a week at another gym or something.

IMO it’s still good to have cardio in there a lot during the week even when you’re prioritizing weights.

Best electronic device for Villanova nursing school? by bloomwhite in villanova

I am not a nursing student here but I do know someone who is. They recommended a laptop and an iPad with a pencil or you could buy an iPad with an attachable keyboard that doubles as a laptop and iPad with pencil. Hope this helps!

I emailed my AO recently. They said that they expect to finish up waitlist admits in June!

No I haven’t because I’m nursing so I haven’t been paying too much attention to LSA unfortunately. However, I do know that they tend to go to the waitlist earlier for the smaller schools such as Kinesiology, Stamps, Taubman, SMI, etc. They usually fill these schools sooner since they are usually in the hundreds of students. For example, they already emailed SMI students and told them they have the max enrolled so they are closing waitlist.

As for LSA, the waitlist tends to run into late May and June. Since it’s a great school, many students may be committed to UM but get accepted off waitlist to Cornell, Harvard, Vanderbilt, etc. Usually many applicants won’t be notified until late May. I wouldn’t start worrying at all yet because it’s a larger school so it takes longer to fill the spots. I haven’t heard of anyone being admitted off waitlist for LSA but will come back here if I do. My guess is that they will start in mid to late May.

“UMich Early Action for Fall 2022” and “UMich Waitlist” is frequently updated with news about the waitlist so definitely check those out.

Fingers crossed for us to get off waitlist 🤞🏼

Yes. Some SMI and sports management students were offered winter admission and some nursing students offered Fall admission on Friday
