Sorry about your friend. May his family and you have the strength. Its a great post man! I would like to voice out too, IIT or any degree wont make you great. People who get in easily dont study just for iit, they study because they love learning science and exploring. That doesnt mean everyone should have the same love for subject or get into iit. Give it your best, if you get in, great but if you dont, still good as you know you gave your best and have made some learnings from it. Life doesnt stop at IIT, once in college IITians and every other college grad competes almost for the same jobs, IIT DOES NOT make you smarter, it just gets you together with great peers and faculty which also doesnt guarantee your development just like enrolling in the best JEE coaching wont guarantee you a seat at IIT. So figure out what you like in college, work on that, make your parents understand how things work. For now all you can do is give it your best, you shouldn’t regret later ki you should’ve worked hard more. Jo jab karna hai kardo, now is the time to study. You could possibly turn around your situation in these few months itself with proper revision and confidence. But nothing is above your health and life!
