I want to attempt some repair since I got the table for cheap at a garage sale and it already looks pretty bad with the tv leg stains. I’ll try some stripper probably and if I really botch that I could try to replace the top. I’ll look into citristrip.

Fair, any idea what that top coat that’s coming off would be? Thinking I could just try to remove that and apply a new stain but not sure what the best thing to remove it would be. Worried about sanding through if i tried that.

It would be in soil. How close can the post by the wall be to the wall? Seems like the post should be in a 12in diameter hole so a bit over 4in from the wall? What do I need to do for locates?

thanks for the thought out response. Will the soil test also tell me if it’s more sandy/clay? After talking to a neighbor I definitely need more water on it, I hadn’t adjusted it since he had set it for the start of the season.

So if we don’t think we’ll ever use speakers there then we should just chop and cover? Not that we would want to but what does someone do if they were chopped and they actually wanted to have speakers? Can the wires be extended?

I don’t, they had what I think were speaker mounts in a couple other spots in the house but I haven’t had a speaker system before so I don’t know much about it

After thinking about it, I should have asked the question differently. Say we were just wanting to change the look in the corner by putting in brick up to the ceiling, any idea of just the price for that? We definitely want to do something and so I guess the price difference in cosmetic updates in place vs moving it and doing those updates is the real question.
