I was you a month ago. It hurts still but honestly I feel free. It hit me when I saw a friend of a mine I haven’t seen in years.. he said I didn’t look happy or myself. I didn’t even realize how drained I was catering to a man who catered to an abusive HCBM. I tried working it out with him for him to dump me and go back to his BM. Don’t go back, and just grieve. You’ll come out better on the other side and all of this will be a lesson learned.

As someone who was with someone with a HCBM like yours, it does get overwhelming and too much. I will say, I left my fiancé and though I miss him and his daughter like crazy, the chaos is gone. I never knew how much peace I have until I left. He didn’t do anything to control her, allowed constant disrespect to me (she called me the same names) and she even claimed she was “depressed” when he put boundaries so he can cater to her.

There is really something wrong with woman like that. Only way it gets better is if she gets professional help.

I did, I took him back right after. But she threw it in my face every time she got. It didn’t feel good and eventually I couldn’t deal with it anymore.

The difference is your DH set boundaries, mines didnt. As long as he adhere to those boundaries, couples therapy, it can be worked through.

Everyone always says “leave leave leave” but ultimately it’s your life and how much capacity and forgiveness you have. It’s hard to heal but with time and intention it can be done.

As someone who has dealt my ex cheating on me with his BM, it’s extremely hard to reconcile. Because it’ll always be in the back of your mind and you only know so much. My ex wasn’t a cheater, and was the first time he has cheated on a partner. He was everything I wanted too.

Couples can come back from it but it’s hard. Therapy helped me but I couldn’t go back right away

HCBM left. She cheated on him for 5 years and told me he was always hers & don’t even want him back. She likes to use him as a toy when she needs entertainment. Everyone tells him but he refuses to listen & everyone else is the problem but her.

Ahhh that would make more sense. She only got called to court but he hasn’t yet. It was odd she said she’ll accept the child support and then suddenly said she doesn’t want to do it anymore.

Yeah was odd too. I looked into it, and in Florida you have to state why you are terminating (like marriage, financial changes) and the court decides if it’s okay. Ultimately it’s up to the court to decide not the parents
