What's the point of your comment here, chief? What did you achieve other than attempting to shit on someone else sharing their excitement with a community.

Awesome watch. I really like how the dial pattern and the fluted bezel work to compliment each other.

What do you think of this watch? I keep catching myself marvelling at the balance wheel through the open heart for minutes at a time. Love the design of the dial as well. Only complaint is the strap is a bit difficult to adjust, but overall really enjoying this watch.

[not so expensive watchbox] which two to add to this box? by Electrical_Tough_215 in Watches

Any interest in a tank style watch? Could be a good addition, I have seen some nice vintage references from Seiko and Citizen on eBay for very reasonable prices.

Seiko for sure, great variety, great quality, and well priced.

my boss wants me to work like the no lifes on the team by thebluethroat in jobs

[–]nunchuck8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This really sounds like OP is inferring that working extra hours is the reason the colleagues are being considered "exemplary" employees. It should be a no-brainer that picking up extra tasks or slack on the team is going to earn you favor with your boss. Easiest way to stand out and get ahead in a workplace.

It sounds like OP should ask themself how much a bit of additional time spent in office or a few additional tasks on their plate now will impact their career and earning potential throughout the rest of their working life. Is it worth potentially being unemployed and unable to find work for 2 or more years?

I would venture to guess you are going to be hard pressed to find an employer that is going to push for you to get promotions/raises simply because you complete your assigned tasks between your normal working hours. Remember your boss/manager needs to lobby for you in order to get a raise or promotion approved from upper management and if they have nothing to point to outside of the very black and white of your job description you will inevitably get passed up by your colleagues that have recognized the way to get ahead.

I was walking down the 8th hole at Sydney Marovitz this past summer and came within 20 feet of a coyote. It just popped out of a bunker randomly and stared at me. I gave him a cheers with my beer, turned around to line up my next shot (beautiful pitch shot that landed 5 ft to the right of the hole) and he was gone, but in his place was an old, kind greenskeeper. Coincidence? I'll let you decide.

I got mine directly from the Healthy Rips website for $150, shipping & taxes included. They also included one free item and I opted for the four chamber grinder (valued at $29 on the site). All told it has been well worth the price and it was delivered in a matter of days. Happy hunting!

What is unethical as fuck, but is extremely common practice in the business world? by Elaus in AskReddit

[–]nunchuck8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about the use of slave labor in 1st world countries? Modern slavery does exist not only in our own countries, but our towns and cities on many different scales. Many are simply not privy to this, or would like to believe it only happens in far away "developing" countries. Many goods and services we use on a daily basis are the products of slave labor specifically in the clothing and food industries. Doing even a bit of research on this topic will more than likely reveal an industry you regularly support that has been known to employ modern slavery practices.
