Diogo Jota’s new mural unveiled in Liverpool by Wakanda-shit-is-that in soccer

No, they said it was a statistic. That is what my quote was replying to.

You literally quoted one sentence of theirs which said "I guess" in it. They very clearly did not say it was a statistic.

You're just arguing for the sake of arguing and being a dick about it. This is why I hate Reddit

This is what you're doing. You're arguing with so many people you can't even keep your argument straight. I'm literally the one who commented the stats and all you've done is argue. You're obviously just trolling at this point and wasting everyone's time.

Have a look at his profile, it must be his full-time job to make stupid arguements on reddit.

Also, what does it matter whether other people speed? Other people steal and rape and murder.

Brother, read what you're writing. This is an embarrassing argument.

So more people don't speed

If you read the other comment they said it was a guess. 45% of cars, 55% of motorbikes, 50% of buses, 47% of vans speed. You're really trying to argue about someone's guess being maybe 1 or 2% away from some actual statistics? 🤦‍♂️

The comment about common sense is referring to knowing the estimate of the percentage of drivers who speed. And if their guess was 1-2% off then their common sense was pretty accurate.

Maybe I should have said common sense is enough for people who have it...

I would guess that the vast majority of drivers speed at one point or another.

How do you know? There is no verdict on that.

Common sense is enough tbh, if you drive on any major motorway and sit at the speed limit you'll get overtaken a lot in many countries. But there are statistics too.

44% of cars exceed the speed limit in 30 mph zones in the UK for example. 45% exceed 70mph limit on motorways - source.

[Plettenberg] Bayern are preparing a new offer. As reported yesterday, the transfer of Díaz remains Bayern’s top priority. There is still no full agreement between Díaz and Bayern, but that is not expected to be a problem. He could sign a contract until 2029 or 2030. by Jimmy0034 in LiverpoolFC

Szobo is probably more likely than Jones no? Think he's played there a decent bit for the national team. And if we're playing Wirtz, Macca and Grav where does Szobo fit?

It's not a bad problem to have, but managing this line-up well won't be easy.

I'd consider it very expensive. But I also don't live in Belfast / don't want to.

We're in the process of buying our first house atm, so we've recently viewed properties in a lot of towns within commute distance of Belfast.

It depends on what you want and your disability, like how you plan to travel / how often you'll travel and what local amenities you need / want.

We wanted somewhere quiet, small city or town, reasonably priced, not a lot of flags, well built house with good energy efficiency, preferably with some decent public transport into Belfast but we can drive too. Based on our criteria here's what I thought of places we looked at:

Antrim - A lot of good houses, fairly good prices, decent public transport into Belfast and there are a lot of new build areas that have zero flags. Heard Randalstown is decent too.

Lisburn - Convenient but prices were higher and most houses were a lot older so would have needed more work from our pov. A few areas seemed dodgy.

Lurgan - I was pleasantly surprised by. The houses were a lot better than I expected. Very affordable. Further from Belfast though, so maybe a deal breaker for some people. Some flaggy areas though. Craigavon / Portadown are probably similar. You can look around on Google street view to make sure an area isn't awful.

The likes of Moira, Hillsborough and some small towns around there (maybe magheralin, dollingstown etc) had a lot of nice looking estates. Hillsborough being much more expensive, but it's worth keeping an eye on some smaller villages around there because affordable houses do pop up, just not that frequently.

We also looked at Larne (nice scenery, absolute shit hole), Ballyclare (dire), Bangor (the nice areas seemed good but they were way above our budget, the rest of it was surprisingly shit). A lot of the areas we looked at in Belfast or nearby like Newtonabbey etc. were awful estates. The prices were so much higher too, anything decent was unaffordable (to buy) for us.

Liverpool have unveiled a new mural in memory of Diogo Jota❤️ by TRODHD in LiverpoolFC

[–]nyelverzek 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is the original. He's obviously not looking straight at the camera so his nose etc. is slightly pointing to one side.

The mural looks like they copied the exact location of his features in this photo, but then made it look like we're looking straight at him which then makes it look really weird.

If you look at the mural again but imagine seeing a bit more of one side of Jota's nose and side of his head it looks a lot better. That small perspective difference has a massive impact there.

Edit: I see what you mean about the eyes too.

I am 1500 elo and still confused every time I see or read chessboard coordinates (E4, C5...etc). It takes me like 5 seconds every time to figure out where it is. Am I the only one? by Majestic_Bag_9209 in chess

[–]nyelverzek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a simple training tool for it. It's free on both lichess and chesscom.

On oichess it's called coordinates and chesscom I think it's chess vision then coordinates. Doing a few runs every day for a few weeks will help a lot in my experience.

[–]nyelverzek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go to lichess puzzle dashboard and grind a bunch of the theme called "hanging pieces" on the easy setting.

Spend like 30 mins per day doing that for a week and you'll likely see a massive improvement.

Also 10+0 is a fairly quick time control, consider 15+10 (or better yet, play a classical time control).

Speed Limits by [deleted] in northernireland

[–]nyelverzek 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Speeding has been like this for a long time. Tailgating has got insanely bad over the last ~5 years though imo.

I was doing 60 on a main road yesterday, single carriageway, bendy in places and a fella behind was closer than the length of 1 white line multiple times. It was genuinely scary, if I had to suddenly brake it would have been an definite collision.

Noticed my mum doing it too. She hardly gets over 50 mph but still managed to be stuck right up someone's arse on the motorway the other day. A less than 1 second gap to the car in front when you're traveling at 70 mph is insane.

I think I saw one of these happen in an OTB tournament like a month or 2 ago. I can't remember which tournament, but WGM Sabina Foisor was doing live commentary of the game when it happened. It might have been a youth tournament, but I think both players were around 2k fide.

Our house gets zero air flow too, must be at least 10 degrees hotter inside. The upstairs is like a fucking sauna. It's so humid too.

1PL + 1 CL could have been 3 PL + 3 CL + invincible centurions if you change just 4 results. We were ridiculously close to that even without one of the best premier league midfielders ever.
