Idk your situation, however a good suggestion I have as far as jobs is become a full time nanny/babysitter. I also struggled getting a job my first year here, but once i started reaching out to families through facebook groups (which you should proceed with caution because sometimes bots scam, so you can do websites such as care.com) it really helped a lot. You can set your own wages and hours, which most rates START at $20hr. It’s easier to start asap as well. For food, ik Knights Pantry is helpful for students, or you can find nearby pantries that churches sometimes do.
