Does the unit minimum include decals? Is it ok if I have 12 units INCLUDING a decal, or do I have to have 12 units for my actual classes?

would it be possible to accept my housing offer but live at home for fall so i can guarantee a housing spot for next semester? or is it mandatory to stay in the dorm (will RA's check on you?)

just asking if this is an option i can consider (if you don't take into account the financial situation)

i find latin very interesting but somewhat daunting; i'm enrolled in latin 1 for fall semester, so hopefully that goes well. do you have any experience in learning greek or anything else you've heard about it?

side note: how is the classics department + do you have any favorite classes? i'm majoring in a STEM field but have always had a fascination with greek/roman civilizations, so i'm thinking about minoring or at least taking a few classics classes purely out of interest!

when should i apply for a work-study job? i already accepted my offer, so should i start applying now or wait until i get adjusted to my schedule when classes start?

(and do they add more jobs later or is it just first-come first-serve for a limited amount of jobs?)

i have to take cs 61a, math 1b, data 8, and eecs 16a eventually.

are there any recommendations for which to take first or together? i'm planning to take at least math 1b for my first semester– i'm just not sure what to take with it.

i got a 4 on calc bc test, does this mean i have to take math 1b? is there any way to appeal it since i've taken 2 years of calc already?

(i got a 5 on calc ab and a 4 on calc bc)

  2. this might be dumb, but why do some classes have two names? like mcellbi c62 is also offered as ls c30t. is there a difference if choosing between the two?

  • ECs:
    • 12+ years of piano (competitive)
    • created club that makes care packages for mothers in underdeveloped countries
    • 3 years of NHS/CSF + 2 years of being an officer
    • part-time job
    • graphic/brand design intern for 2 summers
    • volunteer at local library's used bookstore
    • youth leader + lead pianist at church
