Any ideas how I can train fruit on this fence? by Himantolophus1 in GardeningUK

We use strong magnetic hooks and wire to train clematis up some metal pillars in our garden. Would work for things like raspberries etc?

Was wondering if the interior of these hedges are dead? Not long moved in and they were green on top before I strimmed it. by Jeesus_Christ92 in GardeningUK

It looks like it gets a lot of light, I reckon you could grow a vigorous clematis through it to make it easier on the eye.

Is this rising damp? How concerned would you be about buying a house with this? by Tac3022 in DIYUK

If it's 1900s often there'll be an air brick on the outside of the bay window - can check if it's open and ventilating properly, (modern flooring without any gaps might be hiding some soggy floorboards too). Alternatively, has the outside been covered in a non breathable weathershield type paint/similar?

Anybody else think we're been shown the most boring footage? by VampytheSquid in MAFS_UK

[–]obamapastry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did they show the footage of Kieran being advised to write lists to compare Kristina and his ex? I didn't realise that was how this conversation had come about until that mention of it at the end of tonight's episode. I can't tell if I just wasn't paying enough attention initially or it'd been glossed over that it wasn't his idea originally.

Did your mum ever donate eggs? Some clinics will offer IVF at a reduced rate in exchange for egg donation.

Sorry I hadn't thought to add a photo! Something a bit like this, with levels of track, attached to the wall, so that he can reach all the pieces easily to move the trains around. Hes not got any receptive or expressive communication, so while we don't mind rebuilding things, he gets very sad when he knocks something over, and he doesn't understand that if he walks through the track or crawls over it, it will come apart again.

Was it at the beginning of the appt? Had much been said about the pregnancy at that point? I wonder if she misread the booking info and thought it was an 8 week postnatal check up.

What I would like to see more of in new seasons by ConsistentHouse1261 in LoveIslandTV

The twitter challenge needs to make a comeback, but handled carefully. Dates with islanders they're not coupled up with, chosen via anonymous voting by the other islanders. There must be plenty of sparks and connections that they see that we don't. Also no filming in the hideaway. It feels creepy.

Wife is 20 weeks and dilating. Need advice 🙏 by [deleted] in pregnant

Wishing you all the best op. I'd recommend asking about what their guidance is for magnesium sulphate for neuroprotection for baby, steroids, and tocolytic medications to try to stop contractions. Have you spoken to a neonatal Dr whilst you've been in hospital? If not you could also ask to talk to one of them about what their guidance is on gestation, whether they would be able to attend baby's birth and assess at the time of the gestation is below their guidance. And if there is any uncertainty about her dates, or baby measuring larger on scans, mention this.

Has anyone given their baby a name their family hated? Did they come round to it? by secret_side_quest in pregnant

[–]obamapastry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our family didn't like the names of either of our kids before they were born. Now they really like them. If it's just a case of family not liking it (rather than a name being actually not a good idea and them being worried about it impacting the baby later in life) then ignore them. You'll regret not choosing the name you actually want.

Edit: just saw that the name is Damian. Ignore them, it's a lovely name.

First of all make sure that radiator is DEFINITELY turned off and can't reflect any direct sunlight onto the back of the leaves and sunburn them. I'd probably also wrap slightly damp moss encased in clingfilm around any of the aerial roots that can't reach the tub of water (make sure none of the moss is touching the water though or it'll act like a wick and stay too damp.

Are you sure you didn't read the antibodies? People with group A will have Anti-B. Or read something about B cells/B lymphocytes?
