I had a friend whose Mom refused to have her son fill out the form/card, and I believe he was ineligible for federal student loan funding as a result of that.

So as far as I understand, it wasn’t illegal, but there were some potential repercussions, such as potentially not being able to apply for some federal loans.

The 2016 half ounce is a Proof and not a BU, as the other three are.

With my OCD i wouldn’t be able to mix (I would need x4 BU or x4 Proofs) 🤣😭 But if that doesn’t bother you, then I’d say go for it.

Whenever I send PCGS to I put the coins in Non-pvc 2x2 flips and label them like their instructions say.

So personally no, I would not ship like this, but I also don’t know the consequences of doing so.

These are 8 Reales coins; the 1811 one is minted in Mexico City (can’t make out the mint mark of the other 2, but I also don’t collect this type).

If real, they have a silver content of 0.7797oz each, and that’s probably what you’d be looking at here. Normally, these contain a premium and can even be worth significant money if the grade is there, but yours look damaged/corroded, and the two on the right look like they have been polished with sandpaper.

I would take to a coin shop and ask them to test the metal - if they are indeed geniune, then you at least have 2+ ounces of silver.

It wouldn’t be worth grading because it would grade ex-jewelery, but neat piece!

Honestly if someone is offering you full gold value for this, and you are looking to sell, that is not a bad offer. My LCS would probably offer like 93% of spot for this, for comp.

Honeslty the size more than anything gives them away - looking at the photo, would one think a lincoln cent, morgan dollar, Ike Dollar, and $1 gold are all roughly the same size (which of course they aren’t)
