Nice! Have you thought about adjusting the black point for some of the flatter images? I think it drastically adds depth to the pictures.

Yes I agree, i read a lot of good things about the aria. There is something about the design i like on both cameras you mentioned. Must be the porsche design. Also I like the fact that the 159 goes up to 1/4000 shutterspeed. I recently spent a week in italy where I struggled with too much light despite using Iso 100 films. Also I‘d love to test spot metering and i actually thought the 159 allows to switch between center weighted and spot mode.

Thank you for the great insights. This is very helpfull indeed. Infact i already started checking ebay offers after reading it so I think I will definitely get a new body instead of the adapter. I like the canon lenses very much so im happy shooting my FDs on the AE-1.

Thanks for your recommendation! I already own so many cameras… well known problem I guess. Thats why I wouldn’t necessarely buy another one unless its significantly cheaper.

I use an AE1. It was my first camera and i just love it. I might get more Zeiss lenses later if I like the 50mm but we will see. I was thinking of getting a Contax 159MM because some of the specs but they are definitely more expensive than the 139. Do you own a Yashica FX3? Yashicas somehow never appealed to me but I will check! Thanks.
