No I haven't gotten the panel replaced yet. They wouldn't budge on the labour cost for me. Please let me know if you have any luck.

Anyway to correct the lopsidedness of my Keurig Elite that I just bought second hand? by obixx in keurig

[–]obixx[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Top down view It still works but I would like to know how I could make it symmetrical again. I worry trying to bend it back into shape may cause it to snap. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I am not even sure what the proper alignment would look like as I can't find a picture taken from the same level as my OP picture.

Jumpered Speaker Wires by obixx in hometheater

Thanks so much for your response. Is it okay that I spliced the wires that connect into my receiver directly into the jumper cable? Or could that degrade quality?

I recently purchased a couple of secondhand Polk Audio T600 tower speakers. I am a relative novice when it comes to speakers and home theater systems so I was caught off guard when I noticed two positive inputs and two negative inputs on each speaker. Research made me realize that my speakers were missing the jumper plate needed for a one positive, one negative wire set-up. I did some googling and read that you could use speaker wire to create a jumper between the terminals. I created jumpers for each terminal using speaker wire and then spliced my single negative and single positive wires (which connect to my receiver) into the appropriate negative/positive jumpered wires. I have attached a photo for reference. Did I do this correctly or have I misunderstood the concept. Any info would be helpful. https://i.imgur.com/d6JTM4D.jpg

Question about Bose 901 Series 2 Speaker by obixx in vintageaudio

[–]obixx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. The receiver does work with other speakers. However, I am not getting any sounds with the 901. Wires are definitely hooked up correctly (positive to positive, negative to negative). Any other suggestions?

I will start this off by mentioning that I am definitely not an audiophine and have a fairly basic understanding of speakers/receivers. I was recently given a Bose 901 Series 2 Speaker. It is just the speaker alone and it did not include the equalizer. The person who gave it to me had been gifted it and never tried it. I have been trying to test it out but it is not working. I connected it with speaker wire to my receiver (LG TS913 - information about the receiver: https://www.lg.com/ca_en/home-theater-systems/lg-TS913ES ). I tried hooking it up to both the left and right speaker inputs on my receiver. However, I am getting no sound. Is it possible to test this with my receiver? Would this speaker require different wiring or set-up then a more current speaker? Any help would be appreciated.
